Got news for you, Russian soldier. You're not seeing any of those veteran's benefits. When your side loses, you'll come home in disgrace. People will spit on you and throw trash at you. You won't be able to find a steady job anywhere. You'll be run out of town when people find out you were a soldier in the Ukrainian War of Russian Humiliation. No woman will want anything to do with you. Better to surrender now and wait this war out in a heated cell with a bed and three square meals a day. You'll be treated better as a POW than you will by your own people, with the possibility of being able to stay in Ukraine, get a job, have a family, and live out your days peacefully and productively.

I don't think it will go to that extreme, but I agree with the general idea.  As I read the article, the experience of US soldiers post-Vietnam kept coming to mind.

I read that the regular army training is already shiat. No live round practice. And the trainers don't know how to train. They seem to subscribe to the "break them down so you can build them up" strategy but since they don't train long enough for the second part it ends up being just the abuse. I heard one observer describe the trainers all of the worst drill instructor stereotypes combined.
The conscripted soldiers are given zero training and non-functional weapons. They're not going to be much help. Probably just make things harder for the troops already there. I'm not surprised moral is low.

I remember seeing a video a few months ago of some Russian officer behind the lines walking up to a few injured Russian soldiers and just shooting them dead. Can't fight, why waste food and time on them?

So I wouldn't be too sure of a "get injured get home" plan working quite the way you hope.

Surrendering to Ukraine would be a far better plan. If I was Ukraine I'd offer the choice of reporting you KIA so that Putin wouldn't punish your family for surrendering. Wait till the war is over and see who's in charge in Moscow before saying "Sorry, that was an admin error. I'm alive!"

From what I understand, based on an interview Ukranian Mila Kunis did, telling someone you love them in Russian sounds like a death threat to a non speaker.

There is still hope for Russians, but we are writing off Trumpers. In other fake news, Putin is the Donald Trump Genius of the Year again.

Who can blame Trump? The Russians love him and he has to flee somewhere after the world is done documenting his words, deed, thoughts and feelings for the last 70 years of chaotic evil.

Also, the Russians gave Snowdon shiattizenship so they obviously mean to keep him and aren't as likely to trade him for Russian agents in Red Amerika. What would Trump be worth in a trade? Butina? Rudy Judy Paboodie?

I felt bad till I heard he volunteered to begin with.  I'll meet him halfway tho and pray he gets wounded twice
