Life: From womb to tomb
could be an abortion clinic's slogan.

So if I put Buy One Get One Free abortion coupons on all the cars in the Temecula High School parking lot, is that wrong, should I not do that?  Would that piss off the Temecula City Council?

Some Junkie Cosmonaut: It's farking Temecula - even the rest of the craphole territory out that way farking hates Temecula

Temecula always sounded like the name of a skin condition to me.

Like an irritating heat rash between your ass cheeks or similar.

Abortion has gone from being a national right under Roe vs Wade to a states right under this current court to a town right as per TFA, it's only a matter of time before it becomes an individual right and it's back to where it began.

City level bans? Why not just take it a tiny bit further and allow individuals to decide if they want to ban abortion for themselves.

Aar1012: Sin_City_Superhero: Is that even something that can be done at the city/county level?  I would think that something of that nature would require the State Legislature to weigh-in, but I honestly don't know.

I gonna admit I didn't read the article but I could see it as banning providers in an area to effective ban abortion. It'd be like a town saying no pot shops despite the fact it's legal in the state.

Don't worry, the article says nothing either.  You have to go to a link from the article to read any sort of information.

And yes, it was about banning abortion providers within city limits.

And if a city wants to be an annoying dick to abortion providers, there ain't much the state can do about that.  In fact, there probably isn't anything they can do about that.

Although if the town is that against abortion, there probably isn't any providers there anyway... which makes all of this pointless.

No different from liberal cities not enforcing abortion bans (if you want to go in the other direction) or marijuana laws.

Not too much the state can do.

Especially in this case.  In the case of where you're not enforcing a law, you can pass a law like Florida that says the governor can swoop in and fire them (especially when you're a moron and openly declare it and prove your own case instead of just being quiet about it)... but that's not what's happening here.  They're not making it illegal, they're just making it defacto illegal because you can't get it anywhere.

/Course, the resolution passed, so it's not like any of this matters, I'm just speaking hypothetically if it did pass.
