It's a shame we can't have a worldwide pandemic of kindness.

I think i'll end my day on this story and not on the war threads.  Those threads make me feel awful about humanity.

In the Orlando area, people who use wheelchairs solicit Disney guests to pay them to go to the park with them, so they can get into expedited lines.

Right there with you...
When the old guy says "I'm going to remember this for a really long time."
My first thought..."No. No you're not."

Adorable, as long as this is a genuine "I wanted to take an older person to Disneyland because fun" and not some sort of awful scam or whatever.

Because this is the world we live in. We have to be a little suspicious of stuff or it ends badly.

Even when their memories are failing, the elderly appreciate these sorts of trips.

My husband took his adopted grandma on a plane to Las Vegas, because she had always wanted to fly in a plane and visit Vegas. She got to see the casinos associated with the mobsters she could still remember, she won $100 from a slot machine, and she told my husband to steal a bighorn sheep from a state park (she THOUGHT it was a pet lost in the desert and tried to convince him to save it)

Her memory was already fading by that time, but she hung on to those memories for as long as she could, telling the stories everyday

But did anyone ever rescue the poor sheep??
