I'd write it off to heat of the moment, as long as it didn't go further than a little light groping.  But then, women have been known to freak out over much less.  I guess it comes down to, did she have any idea it would upset him.

The question that needs to be asked is "Is the drinking thing a regular occurrence or a once-in-a-lifetime thing for the bachelorette party.

If she has a regular history of getting hammered, and this is how she behaves in that situation, it's probably going to happen again or worse.

If this level of intoxication is a rare occurrence, then you're probably fine.

For BOTH their sakes. And for the child's. Really.

It's bad enough that he found out about it. But the images from the video will probably always be in the back of his mind.

What will also always be in the back of his mind is the knowledge that he didn't do anything of the sort at his own bachelor party.

To go ahead and get married under these circumstances is a recipe for disaster.

This is why I am glad to be a Gen x'r.   High School in 80's, College in 90's, Married in '96.  There is no video proof of the stupid shiat I did (note I didnt cheat on anyone with a stripper).

Used to work with a dude who would work as a male stripper on weekends. He always said bachelorette parties were the worst, ladies trying to pull off his banana hammock all night and grannies giving him their phone number.

CSB: Many years ago I went to a pal's bachelor party. He was wealthy and had brought in strippers/hookers (no I didn't partake). At the party, he was laying on his weight bench with one girl riding him and another straddling his face (gross). In walks his soon to be father in law. The F.I.L. shouts, quit hogging all the damn whores. That marriage lasted less than a year.

She grabbed the stripper's junk. Who cares? That's pretty tame.

If he can't handle that, then maybe he shouldn't get married.

In my world, affianced women don't grab the junk of men that they aren't affianced to if her man believes the relationship is monogamous.

Much to the amusement of her friends, I saw my fiancée straddle him, grab his manhood and shake it.

"How do you do?"

Pretty much. My nephew was at a bachelor party where the stripper in a club rubbed her boobs on groom-to-be's face while he was sitting on his hands... After seeing a video his wife-to-be lost her shiat, called him a cheater, and called off the wedding.

On the flip side a more frisky couple held their bachelor / bachelorette parties on the same night. The bride-to-be took her soon-to-be hubby to an escort she saw in a window and they had a threesome.

Different people... different ideas of right and wrong.

I don't know. Why do people do all this stupid shiat?  "I've found the love of my life, and to cement it, I"m going to go play around with some naked guys!"

No, you stay with the love of your life, and stop looking for a way out.

The double standard rears its pointy head again. If this was a woman and her man touched a stripper, Deirdre and assorted women on Fark would be recommending that the man be drawn and quartered.

I've heard several times that women get a lot crazier at strip clubs than guys.

Yes, because typically their friends are smart enough to STFU about it afterward.  Unlike us.

This sums it up well.

By the time you're engaged to someone, you should have a pretty good idea about how this type of behavior will
affect your partner. Some people will be fine with it, laugh it off. Others would be upset, maybe to the point of reconsidering the relationship. You probably know where your partner stands on this scale, even if it's not explicitly discussed.

Any train of thought is fine, as long as both people agree or at the very least, they honor each others positions.

My personal opinion is that it's ok to not be ok with stuff like this, and people who are uncomfortable with this scenario shouldn't necessarily be looked down on or viewed as the one with the "problem." Does it indicate insecurity? Yes, probably. Most people are insecure to some degree and their partner doing sex stuff with someone else is a perfectly reasonable thing to not be happy with. Even under the guise of drunken bachelor/bachelorette parties. Especially if it was discussed beforehand, someone blatantly went against their partners wishes or they lied about it.

Deidre does take a rather laid-back approach to this situation and her advice sounds based in a lot of assumptions. But I do agree if the roles were reversed, the response would probably not have been as casual.

I need to see the video before making a judgement.
