(Guardian)   Now you may want to sit down for this, but Reps. Gosar and Gohmert seemed to have cognitive issues and would swap white supremacist theories while pulling their pork...err over pulled pork. Not sure about the former   (theguardian.com) divider line

"Cognitive issues" is an entirely too-polite way of saying "They're certifiable farking morons with the IQ of pudding skin."  It's Gosar the Derparian and Ghomert Pyle, who only somehow manage to survive on whatever nutrients they lick off the windows.

Well, it's not like their constituents could vote for someone who could tie their own shoes. That might make them feel inferior.

If I was a Republican congressman, I wouldn't want that shame associated with my real name either.

I loved the wait Republicans are called racist by Democrats, because there are racist Republicans. I thought they were just insulting us....

2022-09-27 12:48:31 PM
That makes perfect sense actually. Racists are well-known for having reduced mental capacity and stunted emotional growth.

Gohmert just sounds like he's a dumbass who likes conspiracy theories. Gosar sounds more like the actual Klan member.

Yeah, but they scream "socialism" every time we try to help people.
Maybe we need less old people or something.
Or give old people something else to do that doesn't involve politics.

Back in the 70s, apparently it was significantly easier to get into Baylor and get a law degree, cuz Goober did.

I have to assume they're completely farking clueless. They pay attention to politics twice every 4 years, and just vote the way they always have.

No one with any damn sense could watch video of Gohmert with his teeth literally falling out, banging his ring on a table and think that's any way to govern.

FTA: To me, it seemed like an easy insult that dodged policy discussions.

And that reaction makes for an easy (reflexive) dismissal that dodges the implications to policy discussions that might be (reflectively) recognized from consideration of the potential moral depravity (or empirical delusionality) of one of the participants.

According to testimony to the January 6 committee, Gohmert, Gaetz, Brooks, Greene, Perry and Biggs asked for pardons before Trump left office.

Which strongly suggests every one of them has violated their oaths of office in ways that should disqualify them from holding office.

You know, if everyone over the age of say, 63 were to disappear, that would certainly help keep social security solvent for a lot longer. And all the money from their estates that would either go into estate taxes or trickle down to their kids would be a boost to the economy. I mean, I don't know exactly what might happen to them to cause it, but there do seem to be some benefits.

Well Goober is out.  He ran for Texas AG instead and got beat by someone even worse (Ken Paxton).

Gosar I think is on track for reelection, despite barely denying his white pointy hood.

CNN Official Interview: Rep Louie Gohmert defends 'terror babies' to Anderson Cooper
Youtube jUA7obmYvPk

You need not watch the whole thing. 3-4 minutes and you'll get the gist. Now matter how hard Anderson Cooper tries to simplify his question, Gohmert never gets it.

It's like nine minutes of Martin Di Bergi trying to exlpain to Nigel Tufnel the fallacy of the amplifier that goes to eleven, but with a lot more screaming and derp.

He's gotten more competition recently, but never doubt Gohmert's place as Dumbest Human in Congress. At least for the next few months he's still there.

Gosar is the easier to understand.  How that's drawn, it's probably the oldest median age (i.e., tons of retirees) congressional district outside of Florida, and maybe even with Florida.  80 year olds with their brains baking in 110 degree heat.

Gohmert, much less so.  Tyler, Longview, Lufkin... yes, they suuuuck, but the GOP had to have better people than Louis.

Wow, real newsflash there Riggleman.

Gosar's own family begged the public not to vote for him, saying he was legit sociopathically crazy. Gohmert has never been in danger of looking and sounding anything other than profoundly stupid. I'd wager his IQ is in the mid 80s.

I've been wondering if he played football for A&M and it took a few years (after law school) for damage to his head to catch up to him.

Paul Gosar represents the a district that was specifically created as a place where only the most vile and disgusting human being will ever be elected.
upload.wikimedia.orgView Full Size

There are so many survivalist/revolutionary groups there, meth kitchens, inbred families, and so on in that area, it's really just gross. Hell, almost the entire top-half of his district is a barren wasteland where you'll see what can best be described as "serial killer communes" all over the place.

Just sit back, relax, and take in Gohmert's visage in that pic for a moment.
Christ - if that's not "D.U.M.B." personified, I don't know what is. You can just tell the Herculean effort he's putting into *not* breathing through his mouth.

In fact, here it as again, for your neuron-killing pleasure.

Anyone have access to a university library, or a subscription to Journal of Personality? Last night I stumbled across this abstract of a paper on correlates to being a stupid shiathead who buys into conspiracy theories.

There's a few interesting things you can glean from the abstract: Intellectual Humility is a "significant" negative correlate to being a credulous dumbass, and scoring high on agreeableness and conscientiousness also correlates negatively. And "Our results suggest that the nonclinical individual prone to conspiratorial ideation is somewhat likely to display a complex mixture of traits including distress, immodesty, impulsivity, and negative affect.".

But also, "Conspiracy beliefs were also associated with a range of personality disorder features and internalizing symptoms", and I'm kinda curious what those are.

Rav Tokomi: Be nice if these people had said something earlier instead of waiting for a book deal.

This guy did a little more. He was voted out in November 2020, and ended his term January 2021. Then he joined/worked for the J6 Committee, though I don't believe he is still actively working for them. But the point remains that he did try to do something as soon as his term was over. The J6 Committee is not happy he's publishing this book. So there's that. But he did more than most that just keep their traps shut until they publish their books.

"On 10 December 2020," he writes, "less than a month before the Capitol attack, I ... railed against disinformation and 'super-spreader digital viruses that create a fever of nonsense' ... I noted how QAnon promoters were linked with both the conspiracists who questioned the Covid pandemic and Trump's Stop the Steal movement to overturn the election.

Wow, at the end of 2020 you said Trump and his followers were spreading disinformation.

What a brave pioneer.
