Hey now, I'm sure that these women would have eventually found a Forever Home with someone associated with the government, Department of Corrections, or police to help them get through these trying times, and totally wouldn't have made into proper Handmaidens.

I mean, for that to happen, there will need to be a whole lot of changes made to the Constitution. But these folks are ever hopeful that God will show them the way.

so you arrest the mother, but then you are illegally detaining a human being in the fetus who has committed no crime.  so you either have to remove the fetus to release it, or you have to release the lifebox of the fetus.

man now I want someone to challenge this in a court.

The woman isn't a human being under Dobbs, so she is being seized by civil forfeiture and thus is property of the prison.

In case you were wondering what the SCOTUS decision will say

And thus begins the ridiculous legal fallout of "a fetus is a person".

I'm looking forward to a woman getting an abortion anyway, but the doctor using tools that look like guns, and describing the abortion as a "good shoot" and "standing my ground".

Lets see how the RWNJ contingent handles their cognitive dissonance. Should be good for a laugh.

And jailing someone, anyone, for smoking cannabis while pregnant?  Would she have been jailed for chugging a beer or smoking a Marlboro?

Weaver95: No wonder all the Republicans are running away and hiding. Not even they can defend themselves anymore.

This is why I can't fathom why Schumer is all "OK, let's wait until after the election to put this up for a vote".

Republicans, even in red states, are FLEEING reporters asking about these things. After the Kansas vote, this is one topic that they have NO interest in talking about - as a result this is EXACTLY THE TIME TO FORCE THEM TO TALK ABOUT IT. They have been doing everything in their power to try and deflect to some other issue - immigration, ooga booga transgender people, economics, ANYTHING, and yet this issue still isn't going away. Force them to answer. When they run away, film them running away and put the video out there in your advertising and say "Look at who is avoiding the issue".

I'm not one of those that was gleeful over RvW being overturned because it's "good for elections" - it's terrible for women and would be better if it had not happened. But it's clear that it's caused some people to wake up and pay attention that hadn't before, people that said "Oh that will never happen".

This is what happens when women push back. Did you really think women were just going to lie back and take it?

Liberal women aren't stupid. They use every legal weapon in their arsenal first. Only when that fails do the extracurricular weapons start coming out.

I know that from personal experience. Bullies back down when faced with someone who fights back.

They're full of bluff, bluster and intimidation tactics, and they pick on targets they think they can intimidate but when women band together and fight back, they run.

Team fat roll needs to watch itself.

Can you imagine, cops pregnancy testing every single woman they arrest on drug charges so they can bring "endangering an unborn fetus" charges?

One day police management will catch on and change from being the place where all problems get dumped, which justifies needing and having ever growing budgets.  They'll push back and say it's not their job.  Put money in the hands of people who are trained.  "We're not your butler, housekeeper or yard boys.  We don't do cable either"

Now they're "sheltering expectant mothers" using their police powers and physical plant.

They didn't ask for this when they signed up.  No to the embarrassment and ridicule of being the executors of an insane interpretation of an insane law.  It's really hard to imagine a "Fine Police Work" medal for arresting and housing pregnant women.

Private prisons are the exact same as hotels.

Under Alabama law, this meant she was held in Etowah County jail on a $10,000 cash bond in order to protect her fetus

Repubs will not stop until pregnant women are monitored to ensure they are "protecting the fetus" and any "noncompliant" women will be jailed.

They will absolutely extend this to all women of childbearing age, not just women with confirmed pregnancies.
"Miss, I can't sell you this six pack of beer until you provide a current negative pregnancy test."

Fark this shiat.
