From further down on the article a good reason why the Democrats are in the position they are nationally.

"As we have pointed out many times, Republican donors are active up and down the ballot, funding races for state officials and also for members of the state legislatures. Democrats tend to focus on federal offices and governorships and ignore everything else. This leads to many purple states that have Republican-controlled state legislatures, even though half the voters or more are Democrats. "

Years and years and years and years of this stupidity from people who were in charge like Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Nancy Pelosi gave us this.

Oh and the idea that Ohio and Georgia are even remotely up for grabs should terrify anyone. But Republicans are farking morons and will vote for anyone with an r after their name

I can only speak locally to GA. But if I had to guess right now, I think Warnock holds on but Abrams loses to Kemp. And this is more because the state (esp. the rural areas) want to push it back to being red, but even they (hopefully) will look at Walker and say.... um, yeah, sorry, can't do it my man.

And yeah, I just saw an idiot with giant FJB, Let's Go Brandon, and 1776 Project decals on the back window of his Jeep yesterday. We are not a smart state.

Mandela Barnes (in WI) needs to get tougher. He needs to highlight #WrongJohnson's support of the RvW decision, support of the violent insurrectionists, and start calling out the "no cash bail" ad as a tragic lie because the person they are referencing was literally out on cash bail.

I thought he was going to be too milquetoast, but he had enough support in the party that everyone else stepped aside. So while we are voting for him, we have to get #WrongJohnson out of the Senate, here's to hoping his campaign team finds some balls before election day.

Mastriano really has managed to destroy his own campaign. Even the local trumpers consider him a loser nut ball with zero future.
But he seems to believe he's still got a shot at winning so I guess we're going to do this the hard way.

It's truly excruciating: democrat's commitment to "they go low, we go high," despite the fact that it has literally never worked. I'm glad that, as of late, they're starting to pick up that Fetterman is allowed to call Oz an idiot, as a treat, and it's actually working out really well for him.

Well, NC, NV, OH, WI, FL, UT, GA all in play.

e-v.com do a good job at predicting, they usually miss it by one state on the last day.  The thing is, there is a lot of flux in some of these races, and my gut tells me the numbers are wrong.  I feel pollseters are underestimating the ammount of Dem vote that is coming, and covids lasting effects on some of these red states have there numbers off. and number sin some districts might be off as well.

My gut still says, Dem's keep the senate, min 51 seats (NV doesn;t flip) max 54 seats.  80%
still 50/50 on either side holding the house with less then 10 seats.  51% gop barely hold.  Nothing has fully told me the dems will overcome gerrymandering, but the other things i mentioned above might make some gerrymandered seats irrelivant.  It will be VERY close.  and there is no red wave.  Its either going to be a blue wave (dems hold house and take senate with +4) or a red trickle.  (GOP gets house with a max seats held of 225 [7 more then they need for control]) and they don;t regain the senate (50/50 or 51/49 dem)

A LOT can change in 6 weeks.

Warnock winning while most state level Dems get creamed will be a miraculous result given where Biden's approval rating is.

For what it's worth, if those numbers hold, it'd be a higher turnout (by far) than 2018 among all demographic groups. Could be good or bad depending on which type of reluctant/unreliable voter is more likely to show up. I'm hopeful that there's a good chance it's the Dems as long as Trump himself isn't on the ballot.

Walker in particular, that guy brings nothing to the table except a good football career. Not a single thing. Guys like Oz, he's a clear snake oil salesman, but he's got TV experience enough to fool some people with what passes as charisma. (I don't think he has any, but his career suggests that for a lot of people, he did.)

Walker is dumber than a stump. He's an incoherent moron who doesn't even manage to get away with it through jokes or humor or charisma or likeability or anything. If he was just a regular dude, you wouldn't trust him to walk your dog without accidentally straying into traffic, much less help run the government.

Even the dumbest of his potential constituents are measurably smarter than that idiot, and there's no way to miss it.

It shouldn't even be a race.

If I hadn't lived through the last six or so years, I'd say I'm shocked that it is. But I did, so I'm not.

In fact, we haven't had a decent DNC head since Dean. Don't know about Jaime Harrison, but he seems like more of the same, unfortunately.

I am not sure I believe that. Not only had TFG harmed Vance, but Vance has been hit and miss even trying to hold his kkklan rallies, whereas Ryan has been actively campaigning for red voters.
