I always liked this guy as an actor. He successfully stood his own while paired against Sandra Berhardt's scenery chewing in Hudson Hawk.

Saw him in How to Get Ahead in Advertising. It was one of the first dates with my wife.

"With Nails; The Film Diaries of Richard E. Grant" was a good read.

I DEMAND TO HAVE SOME BOOZE!

It amazes me when I found out he was a teetotaler during Withnail and I.

I don't know much of his work, but he was certainly awesome in Loki.

When I was a kid, I used to mistake him for Hugh Grant.  Now that I'm older, I wonder who'd win in a battle to the death.

I've long felt that all movies should include Richard E. Grant.

He was phenomenal. You owe it to yourself to see Withnail and I. Something about him sitting in a decrepit apartment, chugging wine, and complaining about how unfair the world is to him is just perfect.

He's second to Iman Vellani as far as enthusiasm to take on a MCU role.

That sounds boring. The next memoir I'm getting on Audible is No Encore for the Donkey.

my favorite version of "A Christmas Carol" featured Richard E Grant and Patrick Stewart.
Also Dominic West and Saskia Reeves

I've seen that available on streaming for years, and I've hit the point where I was about to pull the trigger on it, even though I didn't know he was in it.  This seals the deal.

Cancer is bad, but writing about it isn't bad.... i can't think of a circumstance to befall someone or their loved ones that is more telling to what kind of character they have.

Me too, and him being married doesn't really move the needle for me, in any different direction.

It's a great film, one I've watched dozens of times, but it sort of starts off slow. For me, it starts to warm up when they visit the Irish pub (spot Daragh O'Malley), then really hits its stride when they visit Uncle Monty (played by Richard Griffiths).

The first few minutes are a little slow burning, but set up the rest of the film.
