They thought they were sticking it to the hedge funds, but they were just used by AMC executives to further their own wealth.

APEs are now up 5.65%, which makes sense.  APEs are equivalent to regular AMC shares in every meaningful way* and should eventually convert to AMC shares, so these weird price deltas that keep happening are going to be attacked by arbitrageurs.

*The difference that causes these price deltas is that you can take option contracts on AMC shares but not on APEs and if you move the market without covering yourself, you're going to get killed.

Seems like a weird time to be refinancing existing debt. Maybe do this before the Fed increased rates?
