More Brexit Winning! At this rate the Pound will be trading at near parity to the US dollar. I can't wait till we hear that the rate against the Euro goes to parity as well, such a major loss of trade power has to be totally worth having new french made blue passports again!

One of the last threads about this already posted the Chuck Tingle book, so I think we're pretty much done her.

If you are a Discworld fan in the United States, I highly recommend that you take advantage of the weak Pound by spending some greenbacks here:

This is probably the one silver lining out of the whole ill thought out budget. British exports will improve because their goods are cheaper on the international market.

The big drawback is that manufacturing isn't a big part of the UK economy any more and their lack of free trade agreements is a barrier to growth. Further, imports will be much more expensive to the British consumer, especially fuel.

You'll all be sorry when the UK finally capitalized on the full benefits of Brexit to make a direct trade deal with Micronesia.

Now now, this probably isn't specifically because of Brexit. Brexit is just one of many, many terrible decisions the UK has made causing their currency to collapse.

"A weaker pound also makes the UK an attractive place for international investment, particularly from the US."

Would it be weak if that was the case?

A very attractive place for international investment if your business model involves having your product stuck in tailbacks and customs queues

At current dollar to pound exchange rates, quite the opposite is true. Way more people will want to take a trip to England now it's more affordable.

What the fark does the UK make that the cheaper pound will increase exports? Cardigans and mincemeat pasties?

So London is now only absurdly expensive, as opposed to ridiculously so?
