News like this makes me happy we homebrew. Two kegs on tap, five gallons currently fermenting, and my wife is brewing another five gallons as I type this. Got a freezer full of hops and a bunch of dried yeast in the fridge. The twenty pound cannister of CO2 we have will keep us carbonated well into next year. And I'm on my way to trade a bunch of scrap wood from my shop for a fifty pound bag of pilsner malt.

No danger of sobriety in this house any time soon.

Meh. I kept all my homebrewing equipment from a time when there were no craft breweries, high gravity beers, or any beer at all that wasn't an American light lager. If it gets bad enough, I'm ready.

This is my "hottest" take by Fark standards: being an alcoholic isn't cool or trendy past age 22, and excessive  beer consumption especially will make you fat and dull.

In all the panic over CO2 for beverages, I haven't seen anything about how it'll affect the soft drink industry.

If my local stores run out of beer, well, that'll be trouble, but before then, I'll be panic buying tonic water. Gin won't be in short supply.

Prices are quietly moving up again.  What used to be $3 on a good sale is now more likely to be $5 on a good sale

But with a buzz I don't care if I'm dull. And every thing else is funnier 🤣 💀 😂 🙃
