It's the 9ers led by Jimmy Garapolo. THAT'S going to be interesting! The 9ers don't have a very good history recently against Russell Wilson but Wilson is new to his new team and Jimmy has the old gang back together for a (maybe) last hurrah season. I'm going 9ers by 3. Also, headline makes no sense. Why would Denver defense keep Russell Wilson off balance?

Kyle Shanahan is 2-8 against Wilson; hopefully Hackett will stay out of the way.  Go Broncos!

Hey gang.  Battening down the hatches for Ian, so I wasn't in the day thread.  I guess we have a mini-Circle of Parity already.  Bengals > Jets > Browns > Steelers > Bengals.  So that's fun.

No real rooting interest in this one.  Hoping both QBs have good days; they deserve it.  But if it turns into a defensive grind, you take what you get.  As long as the game's not totally sillypants.

/then again, given that Nathaniel Hackett still exists, sillypants may be guaranteed

The rumor is tendon/ligament damage. In all honesty, if the resulting circus brings down that worthless puppet Patricia, then this actually could turn into a good thing for Mac. Certain people (whose knees will never move from before the altar of Darth Hoodie) can blame Mac for his decisions all they want, but you have to ask yourself why he's making them, and who's correcting them, or, as is the obvious case, NOT correcting them. A real OC would have answers for these things, not some failure of a Lions coach who never coached offense before this season, and is literally only doing it because he's real good at sucking up to DH.

\I've long since given up on that altar

Agreeed, could have been roughing the passer and the weight on the ankle with the toe in the ground did not do anything good for his leg.  Maybe a high ankle sprain or a ligament issue.  They are saying it isn't season ending, but we are on week three and he could be out for months without being "season ending"

It's really not much different than a horsecollar except from the front. You're riding a guy down by holding him up top and not allowing his plant leg to decouple from the turf. Nothing good comes from it.

The "Patriot Way" was Tom Brady and a metric shiat ton of obviously favorable calls at obviously favorable times. Belichick is a great coach, but without his boy and the gift calls he's definitely come back to Earth.

I know but the whole "dirty" thing just reeks of sour grapes from a bunch of people who probably will magically stop being Bucs fans on the side the second TB retires (for real).

Huh? I dunno what that's all about, I don't like the Bucs, Pats, and especially not Brady.

And I don't know if that kind of tackle is technically illegal, but it should be.
