That's just a little bit of that space debris that they never tell you about.  It probably blasted off from the rocket launch, and went off on its own.
I'd dignify your post with a better answer, but what difference does it make?  It was some of our space trash, and there's going to be a lot more of it.  This is what everybody wants.

Are you implying that what I saw was not the primary booster but something that cut loose?  And they are just not telling us about that?

Could be.  Because as I said, I have no idea how that was that low this far from launch.

What you are seeing is very high, already outside the bulk of the atmosphere. It only looked low in the sky from your location because it was so far beyond the horizon that the curvature of the earth comes into play.

From here in SoCal I can actually see the entry burn from a Falcon 9 on the horizon on a clear night. Well, I can see the first three or four seconds of the ten second burn, and then it drops below the horizon. First time I saw it I thought it was the landing burn, but no, it's still in space, just very far away.
