So when did the NYT reporter and the New Yorker reporter find out this information?
Why do I think they sat on this not that they just found out about it?

I've had that book since it was released, it's too obscure, you wouldn't know it.

It's really good. however, it seems like almost too much of a character study. It doesn't do enough explaining about just how batshiat the Republicans are, and the freaky shiat that can happen when staffers are always kept ignorant of the ambit of their own jobs and everyone else's. But it was a great read and probably will be worth referencing forever, because the USA truly sees Trump as their best leader. After all, it is American publications in Psych that perpetually remind everyone who will listen that, "The traits of a psychopath are also the traits of a leader, like a CEO or a surgeon." Now at least we can turn around and tell anyone who pitches that claim to go fark themselves, that's not leadership at all. That's just a mess-maker with money to pay other people to clean up their messes, and police and a DoJ that lets them go without being arrested or imprisoned. So I think the book should be read to cirtique Psychology as a discipline, as much as critiquing the Trump White House.

I mean, it's farked up in the first place, but I know at least 50% of us have YouTube video of Trump's niece (Mary?) breaking it down for us on YouTube too, trying to understand wtf was going on in his head.

I just don't understand it. They had multiple opportunities to use the 25th, but they just balked at every step. And for what? They had Pence sitting right behind him, a more mellow, professional evil, ready to push the same abhorrent agenda.

What the f*ck did they feel like they owed him? Cut him off at the knees and likely piss off some of the more extreme rednecks, but your base wouldn't give a shiat. Policy would keep getting pushed through. They had the judiciary they wanted. The fealty to this ratfarking, psychotic shiatbird is just f*cking astounding.

I'm about halfway through the audiobook. It is good. A little repetitive. It does a good job on explaining sociopaths.

The book that hit on the crazy very well was Fire and Fury. Even though that book was excellent, I questioned how much of it was fiction. There was some stuff in it that seemed a little too good to be true, and I'm not sure how Wolff knew it.

Him? Nothing.  But Republicans never ever ever everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr are allowed to show weakness.  Not at an individual level, and not at any higher level.  It's like one of the core underlying 'values'.  Think of all the bullshirt bullying they engage in (again, politicians and voters that vote for them alike).  So, for them to admit an unprecedented fark-up at the highest level would probably have been like shooting the GOP in the foot.  Or the abdomen.  Better for the country but way worse for the party.

From the sound of this article, they knew they should have had him out of office from almost day 1.  Yet, they could not because they would basically be telling the world, "whoops, the GOP put a literal r____ in the most powerful position in the world."

Because placating their voter base, which is fed by a very ingrained and growing propaganda machine, plus grabbing their piece of the gravy train, take total priority over doing the right thing. Liz did one right thing and got voted out for her trouble.

Republicans built a rotten house and the rats it attracts are infecting the country and the world.

If only we had some warning that Trump was a thoroughly unqualified dipshiat. But I dunno, it's like he just fell out of the sky or something. When Trump said he was a "very stable genius" we had no choice but to take his word for it.

Question 1. Did you at any point tell the President to shut his stupid whore mouth because America does not do the thing he suggested? Even once? On any topic?

2. Are you still okay with the monstrous things done by Homeland Security under your watch - the crimes against humanity towards migrants from central america?

If those answers haven't changed, you deserve no quarter, Kelly. I would personally order your son's corpse to be evicted from Arlington and thrown in the river because your family deserves no peace. You were one of the few people who could have stopped this and did nothing.

Die quicker, old man.

Its because of the unnatural hold that he has over his base.  For whatever reason, they do whatever he says, and he uses that to keep others in line.  He simply has to point to his ability to have long term lawmakers, such as Cheney, primaryed out of office due to her going against Trump.  And others are too scared of losing their phoney baloney jobs to stand up and put the nation over party.
