I dunno.  The only one I ever saw was "10 Cloverfield Lane" with John Goodman, and I thought it was pretty good.  Had no idea what expect.

I liked the concept of Cloverfield and the citizens eye view but I can only take the shaky cam for so long.

In Spielberg's War of the Worlds, I was rooting for the tripods.

Me too, unfortunately.  Cloverfield literally made me violently ill, and it's a shame - it was a great movie.

Go back to your black and white, subtitled Indy movie about a man's quest to find the perfect bicycle, subby.
I enjoyed all three of them for what they were and if they want to make another that I'll eventually see at home with some nice snacks and good friends, why would I want to stop them?

I think it's pretty telling that the best film of the franchise was never meant to be part of the franchise and had to be rewritten to include an obviously forced ending tying the two films together.

Never saw that but I like a good John Goodman joint.  Maybe I'll check it out.

The first movie was good, the second was great, and the third was abysmal. They should have adapted Overlord into a Cloverfield movie like rumored instead of Paradox.

Rather another cloverfield movie then another avatar movie (and the 5 more in the works)

On the one hand, I don't think people should continue to be subjected to jj abrams projects.

On the other hand, if he's busy with his own trash projects he can't continue ruining other franchises as effectively.

/I don't like anything original jj has ever done
//he's ruined both SW and ST
///i can write terrible movies too. Someone give me money plz.

In twenty years, every movie will be a remake, reboot, sequel, or re-imagining of one base movie.

I suspect that base movie will either be "Spider-Man" or "Batman".

When Spider-Man Met Sally
Thelma and Spider-Man
Spider-Man's Labyrinth
Mad Spider-Man: Fury Road IV
The Good, The Bad, and Spider-Man
Spider-Man's List
Spider-Man of Arabia

etc etc

I got about 20 minutes into Cloverfield and thought "I wish a giant ass monster would come and eat all these douchebags."  I didn't get my giant ass monster, but a giant regular monster eating all those douchebags was almost as good.

I liked the one with John Goodman.  The outer space one ranks up there with the Star Wars Christmas Special.

10 Cloverfield Lane was pretty good, and the director has since gone on to do Prey, which was the best Predator movie in decades (I still have a soft spot for Predator 2, though).

Fewer people and more monster stuff please.  They've done a good job with the lore but I'd like to see them come full circle and expand on this alternate dimension/"Mist" scenario they keep alluding to.

I think his first Trek film is fun. Super 8 was decent too, but clearly a Spielberg homage. And his Mission Impossible was also good.

People say, 'lens flare' and blah blah blah, but the first Abrams Trek flick had a badass Romulan as the enemy and the young Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Sulu, Uhura, and McCoy were written as exactly as I thought they would be.

I have. I liked the idea, delivery could have been better.

I'm not as critical as most. Old school outter limits / twilight zone fan.

I like when ppl try something different even if they don't always stick the landing.

Trik: NeoCortex42: They should have adapted Overlord into a Cloverfield movie like rumored instead of Paradox.

This Overlord?

Yup.  Before it released, there was strong rumoring that it was being adapted into a Cloverfield movie the same way 10 Cloverfield Lane was.  I'm not saying it's a great movie, but it was decent enough and if it got branded as part of the Cloverfield franchise, it would have given it more of an audience.  As it is, Cloverfield Paradox (formerly The God Particle) was an absolute mess of a movie that effectively killed the franchise for years because of how bad it was.  Even if you've seen it and remember it being bad, it's actually worse than you remember.

Halloween 3 is underrated.  It's a shame they did Halloween 2 first.  If they had gone directly from the first movie to Season of the Witch, they might have been able to sell audiences on the anthology plan instead of just a Michael Myers series.

I had no idea people were being forced to see JJ Abrams movies.  Why hasn't anyone notified the authorities???
