But I'm sure that a bunch of people who pay a lot of attention to football don't notice the guy who played for decades and who is in a bunch of commercials and who has an ESPN show where he and his brother watch games. They don't notice the camera crew there recording him and their reaction to him, either. Eli is just such a good actor that he fools them all.

BTW, when teams do workouts and tryouts and anything like that, every participant is required to sign a waiver. People bringing media crews are required to have permits.

But of course schools are happy to play along - you get to have a famous athlete at your facility. You get media attention. You get to hang out with the famous player and probably get some swag, get them to talk to your players. Everyone at the workout gets a fun story. Your school gets known as a place where stuff like that may happen.

Sorry to spoil it for you, but it's as fake as the "man on the street" interviews where everyone knows the only way you'll get on TV is by giving the dumbest f*cking answers.
