Thought the same thing. But my question is, wtf do Christians think it was faked? Is there no moon?


I think it's more about planting the seeds of doubt about science in general so you don't ask questions about religious beliefs that don't make sense or is contradicted by science. Stuff like evolution, astronomy, geology, um...pretty much all of science.

Science is about making rational sense of the world through careful observation and conducting experiments. And you ask questions, lots of questions. Whereas the Christian high school likely didn't want anyone to ask questions.

This truly is the dumbest conspiracy theory of all. It literally happened in front of the whole world, monitored closely by the Soviet Union, who desperately wanted to beat us there but couldn't make it work, and who would have exposed a fraud in a second if it had in fact been a fraud.

There are millions of documents detailing all of the equipment, planning, and execution of the US space program, but for something so vast and expensive, again with everyone watching, there is not a single piece of paper anywhere that details the alleged hoax. Not a single participant put anything down for posterity.

I have a cousin who for a while went around telling people that the moon was metal and hollow and full of aliens with whom we were on the brink of war. He's a farking idiot.
