I'd say too tall and skinny. I mean after all, Wolverine is a couple hundred years old.

Hugh Jackman is fairly tall but he could bulk up.

Reeves might make a decent Mr. Sinister.
Don't know how he would feel about playing one of the more despicable (IMHO) villains though.

Reeves might make a decent Doctor Doom too.
He'd need to modulate his voice a bit different, but it might work.

I'd say his biggest barrier is the personality.  Wolverine's very aggressive, very rough and tumble.  That's pretty far outside Reeves' usual range, and the man's not exactly known for his emotive performances.  Even in John Wick, he reads more as cold, merciless, and implacable, rather than a rage-fueled animal or berserker.

Ghastly: Was he the guy who looked like the Anti-Colossus?

I'd never thought of him that way, but I guess I could kind of see it if you look at the ribbing on his suit/armor.

FTFA- When asked whether he had a character he had wanted to play, Reeves answered: "I don't know, when I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine".

So the answer is "I don't know" with the implication being that he'd just love to be in the Marvel movies somewhere.

He said when he was a kid he wanted to play Wolverine, not that he wants to do it now. And it's not the right role for him anyhow, with his height, build, age, etc. He could play someone else though.

The unfortunate truth is Reeves has old man knees now. It was super obvious in the latest John Wick movies. Kinda like Sam Jackson in Captain Marvel. They just can't move like younger men anymore.

He could play a presence-style character now, but not an action one anymore. Unless it's like a shooter. Clearly he's still great at that.

Yeah, I noticed that too in Wick.  And I also noticed the fight scenes in the last matrix looked over-CGI'd, like I found it more noticeable than even the first one.  Probably due to him not even being able to "fake" Kung Fu anymore.

I don't know the actual comics that well, but would he work as a re-cast Stick? I'm not sure if he's supposed to be super-old like Scott Glenn or not.

I think Immortus is probably accounted for, given Jonathan Majors presence as He Who Remains and Kang, but I could get on board Reeves as Black Tom. That'd work pretty well.

I feel like you need more of a John Hamm type for Sinister, someone who can chew scenery really well.

Modok pretty much has to be a VO role, right?  Even for established "monster" actors like Andy Serkis, Doug Jones, and Alex Ward, I'm not sure how they could possibly pull that off without a substantial visual rework.  That being the case, though, allowing for a VO role opens up the options pretty nicely.  Alan Tudyk, maybe?

/Patton Oswalt was fun for a comedy series, but probably couldn't pull him off as a real threat
//Now when they eventually do Mojo, on the other hand...
//Maybe Arcade, too

First thing that I had in mind as well, but then I rethought and it makes too much sense for him to play Northstar

Keanu is Canadian, has the build / look for it, and has no hang ups about playing a gay character

I think it's long since time we had a Logan with a proper Canadian accent, eh?

I'd even be happy, and by happy I mean highly amused, with Quebecois.

Sadly, I don't think Keanu's accent game is up to that, but I'd enjoy him in the role anyway.

Just watched Constantine this week. I mean, I liked the way the movie didn't waste time with an exposition or an origin story, and props to them for a climax scene that was rooted in the story they'd been telling.

But it just wasn't Constantine. There was no roguish charm, no mental deviousness, no word play, and Keanu looked angry but tired/resigned angry, like a factory worker at Christmas.
