I'm still tying to imagine what Soldier Field would look like with a dome built over the flying saucer that landed on top of the original Soldier Field

germ78: The Bears wouldn't be leaving downtown if the city got the rebuild of Soldier Field right the first time. They wouldn't be leaving downtown if there was room to put in a stadium downtown either. The city built out a lot of the underdeveloped south loop area in the 20 years since the UFO landed at Soldier Field. They even added a shiny new arena to that area to host the irrelevant DePaul men's basketball team and Chicago Sky WNBA team. But now that the Bears are following through on their threats to leave the city, the city is half-assing a sweetheart "pwease don't weave!" remodel of a frankly shiat stadium.

/the Sky aren't irrelevant, but not the big draw they like to think

DePaul's new arena is so definitively Chicago, though. Public money given to a private college overflowing with revenue to build an arena that's farther from campus than some road games for a team that hasn't been worth watching in 40 years. It couldn't be more perfect unless the land was bought from a Machine hack and another one poured the concrete.

Sioux City is a wonderful place.  It has a lot to offer, and is home to some of the finest and hard-working people I've ever known.

Fun fact, Sioux City was once known as "Little Chicago" for its organized crime and flouting of prohibition laws.
