Has anyone told them they don't have to buy Teslas?

It's not a hunger strike.  They just can't afford to eat after purchasing a Tesla.

You were repeatedly told before you purchased your Tesla that any problem you have with your Tesla is entirely your fault.

You don't get to complain now.

Come on, Cohaagen! You got what you want. Give those people customer service!

Do you think the Elongated Man cares? He's got other things to spend his attention on, like trying not to implode his fortune with the Twitter lawsuit, or shiatposting on Twitter all day.

"...I believed from the minute the check left my hand"

A government of the people by the people and for the people will usually feel compelled to action by a hunger strike.

Corporations feel no such compulsion.

His canned response is to call anyone who points out flaws with Teslas as "pedos".

This is terrifying.

Tesla probably relies more on venture capital funding than customers, and Musk isn't going to care what the ungrateful peasants think of his gift to them.

The dress code is quite the fascist touch.

That Tesla scores relatively poor for vehicle reliability and customer service is nothing new.  They don't care, unless you take them to court.

The Horror! The Horror!

Well I guess they're either going to die hungry or, more likely, eat something, unload their Tesla Bricks(tm) at a loss, and go back to their lives slightly wiser for the event.

There's another thread around here where an a Farker who claims to own a Tesla doesn't understand why panel gaps are a big deal.  Probably doesn't understand that using duct tape and wood screws for repairs are a sign of poor quality as well (both of which Tesla has done).

I'll say it again -- Tesla is what happens when a bunch of frat bros think they know how to build vehicles.

Yeah, there will be a little bump from the bad PR aspect of this, but not much. This is the dumbest thing I've heard of holding a hunger strike over also, and its insulting to people who have done this to bring about real change

Their neighbor Sweden makes Polestar and those are actual real cars.

...poor paint quality, rust, inability to meet claimed battery life, failing heat pumps, stuck door handles in the cold, and yellowing infotainment screens....issues with the car's lights, bubbling seats, water collecting in the trunk, loose trim pieces, and reduced power. Another complaint is simply that "autopilot does not work properly."

Totally the guy we should have building rockets.

The Polestar 2 is a hell of a car, but they're all made in China.

My sister has a Tesla (don't know what model because I can't really afford the EV premium).

Apparently the wheels are designed in a different way, such that they are constantly scraping curbs. She said a bunch of Tesla owners have that issue.

Is that a real thing, or did my sister suddenly become a bad driver?

Pretty sure she has always been a bad driver, just now she can claim "new tech!"

The suspension and wheels are not anything new

When that doesn't work maybe they should try self immolation.

Oh wait. They're already driving Teslas.

What size wheels are they?  Lower profile wheels all have this problem.  I can bump curbs all day in my pickup truck and nothing happens because it has 16" steelies on truck tires.  I had a 2001 Acura on 17s that was always scraping.  Then I changed to a 2009 BMW on 16s and never scraped.  Now I'm an an Acura SUV on 19s and I get scrapes.  It doesn't help that all the curbs here are granite so after 100 years they are broken and jagged.  It would be easier if I lived in the suburbs with those smooth curbs you can't scrape.

I never learned.  I get close to the curb and then just jump out while the car is still rolling.  If it stops, I put it in park.  If it keeps going, I just keep walking until it stops.

Oh dear, I believe MSN is being trolled hard here. "monstermasten" is a funny guy and everybody knows he's joking (not least because nobody else is talking about a stupid hunger strike).

For those wondering, monstermasten is norwegian for "the monster mast" which is a reference to a story a few years back where giant power lines were going to be installed in the mountains, causing debate because the giant masts/towers was going to be an eyesore in the pristine wilderness.
