From a better article, I can gather a guy got shot, his friends shot the shooter, then the original shooter, who was fatally wounded, ran over an innocent bicyclist while dying. It sounds like an absolute shiatshow, wild-west gangster Oakland horseshiat type of day.

Something similar happened to an alleged (probably apocryphally) ancestor of mine.
He defeated a long time nemesis in battle by deftly removing his head, and was so pleased at his accomplishment that he decided to advertise it by tying the severed head to the pommel of his saddle and riding around with it on display.
Unfortunately, he neglected to notice that the head's exposed teeth were rubbing against his leg, where they created a very dirty abrasion, which became infected - and they didn't have any antibiotics then.
Funny story, no?

For the longest time we only had two Popeye's franchises in town. I'm not even going to tell you what street they were on, within 20 blocks of each other. Fortunately my brother lived three blocks from one of the franchises so I had ample opportunity to enjoy my Popeye's over the years. Then another opened on 82nd which is the border between civilization and chaos (I live in chaos) and another on 122nd..
