Donnie already pissed off a lot of folks in several services while he was in office, with the lack of respect he had for their efforts, their sacrifices, and their departments. Just his sheer incompetence made them look bad, and while the CIA will gladly hang onto anything that makes folks underestimate them, his lack of respect for the work caught in a lot of craws. Especially since he was actively seeking to undo a lot of their work.

Looks like the end of the line. He has very little potential to do more damage.
And the federal law enforcement community sat back and let him enjoy his run. Now they will tally up the damage and present the bill.
And this one, he has to pay.

I'm all for the guy in the cell across from him getting choice of fast food and eating it in front of him for the duration of his incarceration.

But I'm also all for the maximum allowable penalty for espionage and stealing sensitive information, and leaking agents and operatives names.

They sometimes circumvent the entire criminal justice system in the field for that happy horseshiat.

Time will tell.

But I got a feeling the son in law was told he is gonna flip on Trump or spend a lot of time in prison himself.

And that means Trump does hard time in super max until they trot out old sparky.

He deserves that.

Isn't that the theme all this time? "Privately concerned"?

How about you stop keeping your concerns private and farking do the right thing, you farking assholes, and say something publicly when you see shiat going on that's illegal?

I'm enjoying the fact that TFG is likely having a mostly bad time these days, but it sure would be nice if he faced some actual consequences.

It's rather terrifying that multiple agencies now have to do a damage assessment based upon the stolen materials that may include a knockdown drag-out of methods and assets. This is a waste of government money to inspect what many suspect TFG broke to possibly make a deal with foreign, likely hostile nations.

It's going to turn out that Trump's fingerprints won't be on any of the documents. You know, because he doesn't like to read. He's got two layers of plausible denial, and someone else will be thrown under the limo about removing the files and showing them off.

Exactly. Is he increasingly unhinged at the news, noose tightening, walls closing in, etc. If Americans weren't imbecilic children Trump would have been executed when we first knew he was a traitor seven years ago. Instead, pretty much biggest national security breach we've ever experienced and the country is more divided than ever - but at least the money was good.

I'm expecting something along these lines BUT is the twist that Trump was responsible for the documents and thus responsible for any security breaches which involved other people reading them? Is it enough that he has openly stated their his documents, so when other peoples' fingerprints are found on them he has to own that security breach in a criminal sense?

If the security services were as mythically powered as we all thought they were just 10 years ago, TFG would never have been able to get up to his mischief. Fair enough they didn't interfere with his initial election, they can't rightly do that, but how was he able to do so much damage when he did get in?
There have to be people high up that were on on it.

I get the feeling Trump may not slip out of this one.  You can only piss off so many people before the bill comes due, and one thing that could derail a lot of efforts that are going counter to the current system (which enriches a lot of people) is having the One Big Example that gives the illusion that the system is still fair, in which one powerful and/or rich person faces extreme justice.   That could be the plan:  destroy Donald Trump so utterly, so rabidly, that he serves as that One Big Example.

Will it work?  No idea.

But I think that's what is trying to happen right here.  Trump will be found guilty, kept alive until he can be executed for crimes against the state, his family destroyed or killed over the course of a decade, and then anything with his name razed and burned to the ground.  It won't be a slow process, mind....granted, they will make sure he never holds power again by hook or crook, but it will be through.  And there will be nowhere to run and hide.

Just to be safe we should start a gofundme for every prisoner's commissary account on the whole cell block except trump.  That way he won't be able to buy any favors from the folks that will have to put up with him for the rest of their lives.

Maybe the can put him in the same cell with Mop-top Mohamed.

Take your Ritalin.

Search was just carried out. DOJ has to go through the evidence to see what can be shown to a grand jury before an indictment and arrest warrant can be issued. I know, I know, your shows on the teevee said this stuff is all done by the time the microwave dings that your chicken nuggies are ready, but their is a process that has to be followed.

Meantime, Donnie One Term is under the watchful eye of federal agents 24/7, none of whom want to get popped on an aiding and abetting a fugitive charge when the arrest warrant does come down.

He ain't going anywhere.

New take:

Trump didn't take the classified documents to MAL.

He gave them to someone else who took them to MAL and he issued that person a pardon under the radar.

Counterpoint...

Someone sorted out the ones so sensitive/classified and put them in the visually special box that that box (#4, the leatherbound and without a doubt gold embossed one) had to be handled by the agent in charge of the entire warrant process, despite the fact that every "normal" FBI agent there doubtless has TS clearance.

Second counterpoint...

The Traitor needed to know at least approximately what is in them in order to know what he was planning to sell. And he was going to sell them, 100%. There is no other reason to steal "we will put you in ole sparky if you try to steal this" level documents. Can't exactly tell Mohammed Bonesaws or Putin's thugs "yeah they told me this one's got secret stuff in it. We good for that $2000000000 I owe you now?"

Frankly, I don't care if arresting and executing TFG (and his cronies) sets off a civil war.

I'd rather have maga terrorism fall-out than this pish-posh false reality being presented by the media where we are all slowly cooked in our economic ignorance.

I'd rather risk dying as the result of a stochastic mass shooter than be systematically worked to death to support this fantasy land of slavery to prop up the upper 10% keeping the bottom 90% ignorant.

There are too many people who have no farking idea what is going on.

Hard same.

If we avoid pursuing justice because we are afraid it might cause civil unrest, then the terrorists have won and our country is gone.

It's seriously come down to the point where they've engineered the system such that doing anything short of execution, despite calls to shut the whole thing down, puts everyone at a disadvantage.

They know what they know, and there are some known unknowns that worry them, but it's the unknown unknowns that are really causing them concern

/wasn't a stupid statement even when Rumsfeld said it
//it's just one of those things that sounds dumb until you think about it for a sec
