F*ck you, turtle.

So the GOP could get more votes by dropping unpopular positions and running candidates people actually like.

OR they could keep doing what they're doing and try to block all progress while smearing other Americans.

I understand that, back in the Eisenhower days, the Republican party was run by adults. I've never seen it in my lifetime tho. I would sure love to see what that's like.

Between nutjob candidates and Roe v Wade getting overturned, I would hope the Dems manage to actually take a majority in the Senate that lets them be able to overcome the likes of CoalBot-9000 and $in€ma.

Yup, YOU did this Mitch, got the party to go along with allowing an unfettered sociopathic Russian rube to remain in power and grow in criminality and influence.  YOU could have impeached and remove him for sh t you wouldn't dream of allowing a Dem to get away with.  It's called UPHOLDING your oath of office, and PROTECTING the country.

LOOK upon your wonders and despair!

Well at least the Rs have stopped funding Oz's ad campaigns in PA. Obviously they are done with him. Thanks Oprah.

Eisenhauer was politically left of Manchin. That is how much the GOP has changed.

"Senate races are just different," he explained. "Candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome."

Ouch. Mitch letting every single person in the House know where they are in the pecking order.

And gerrymandering has a lot to do with the House, candidate-quality be damned.

Don't forget his wife was Trump's Secretary of Transportation for all four years (she resigned after J6)

McConnell had many opportunities to distance the GOP from Trump once he outlived his usefulness. McConnell chose not to take any them.

Some "political mastermind" he turned out to be.

I'd be real sure in our way of seeing it, the quality of the candidates is basiaclly expected to be equal to the quality of the voter base.

We don't think of "representation" here along the lines of, "someone who is better equipped/more capable of looking out for my interests than me."

Here in USA the typical POV is, A representative is 1:1 directly representation of the voter themselves personally.
You know the POV of "I like them because they seem like me."
Not the same as "I agree with their POV and i consider them defiantly smarter/better in some way that makes them more qualified to look out for my interests then me.

So yeah, if a dingelberry for brain cells yahoo, wants to see someone that reminds them of them in power, this is exactly what we can easily predict happens.
Representatives are more or less basically 1:1 the voters, rather than the "best and brightest" among us, and so tasked with  looking out for us.

Mitch, Bro - you and Blanche both publicly admitted that your party was committing suicide when you let these vampires in your door. You knew it.
You said so.
I don't know what the f**k you're whining about now.

McConnell is probably the vilest hypocrite in the history of American politics, and the most shameless obstructionist.  But he ain't stupid, and the fact that he is publicly worried warns my cynical little heart.  There would be some (though not enough) karmic payback in his blatant SCOTUS stacking contributing to the Dems keeping control of the Senate.

/Adequate payback would be a GOP wipeout that lasts decades, the SCOTUS expanded to 13, and a sane center right party either replacing or absorbing what's left of the GOP.

He did have the perfect opportunity to cut bait during 2nd impeachment.  He got his stacked SCOTUS, but I think he's gotten a bit too greedy.

Reality, the Senate is inherently gerrymandered. 550,000 conservatives in Wyoming get two senators, 39 million people in California get two too. Not drawing crazy districts but it distorts representation similarly

Vote as if we can pick up two seats in the Senate, thus neutering Manchin and Sinema, and also keep the House as well.

In return, Brandon will make the next two years look like the past two weeks.

Y'all invested in the Crazy Train, and you ginned these folks up to push up against Roe-v-Wade, and now you're gonna soak in that. Y'all did this to yourselves.

Do NOT stick your d*cks in Crazy. Don't give Crazy money. Don't call on them for support. The GOP is supposed to be a Conservative party, and you've let radicals and loons in, and they've skewed the party away from anything looking at long term growth and potential. Y'all got greedy, and you banked on greedy little grifters, and now you can't exactly be surprised that they are EXACTLY as advertised.

State borders haven't changed in more than 60 years.

Not our fault California got greedy and didn't divvy up the state. We could have had senators from Hollyweird, Code Monkeystan, "I Got Warrants!" Junction, and Oregon, Jr. But noooooooooooo.

I wanted to do some research and managed to watch a full hour of Tucker Carlson last night. I'm not sure if this is how every TC show goes, but the whole thing was a clown car with a spoof Jeopardy game. I learned that it was probably Obama who botched Katrina, and that Steven Miller still exists to leech blood.

One thing to note that the word "Trump" was not uttered once. Not once. There were two instances of "corrupt FBI" but not one mention of Mar-a-Lago. Then talking potato came on for his show, started right in on poor Trump, and I had to turn off the TV. Maybe Tucky is trying to distance himself from the lie?
