I think Grease was first aired on network TV in 1980 but that's probably wrong.  At any rate I was 12, and I had a crush on Olivia so I watched that whole damn movie.  The last scene was worth it.

Jake Havechek: The last scene was worth it.

That was like the opposite of the Breakfast Club. Ally Sheedy turned from a beautiful goth to the lame prom queen to get her man. In Grease, Sandy changed from boring prom queen to a hot leather clad chick to get her man.

Grease 2, meanwhile, will be screening absolutely nowhere.

I don't think I've ever actually watched this movie from from beginning to end. Just never drew me to it. I know and appreciate it's culturally significant and respect it for that.

But hey, if it happens to be playing at a theater near me when I'm available, I'll probably go see it.

Xanadu had better music, Grease had a better story. Make it a double feature!

There's a movie old enough that I saw it at a Drive-In Theater with my parents.

How much will they pay me to attend?

I want Rifftrax to do Xanadu in her honor.

Grease was my 1st date movie!  I hated it at the time, but my girlfriend loved it.  Olivia made it bearable to sit through.  What a voice!

My kids played this every day after school for about a year. At least it stopped them playing "Land Before Time".

Well not in my town.  But I loved Grease.  We had the soundtrack, knew all the songs.  I might go see it again.

Never saw it, despite being 16 in 1978.  Probably because it seemed stupid, and this chick had to become a slut for everybody to accept her.  I mean WTF amirite?

anyone?
