Well, yeah, an ice cream cone withs nuts and chocolate has dairy, which is protein, calcium, and, if fortified, vitamin D, and nuts have good fats and protein.

A bagel has carbs.

But the ice cream also has a lot more sugar, salt, and cholesterol which will hurt you more in the long run than the lack of nutrients in just a bagel will.

"Fritos scored a 55."  55 WHAT? Article does not say. That's it. I'm going to bed.

I love bagels so damn much. Egg, onion, blueberry, everything, poppyseed, all of them. With cream cheese is the best but butter and apricot jam work too.

BTW, it's true that you can fail the whiz quiz by eating poppyseed bagels even a few times a week. I got called in after a mandatory test with my supervisor and HR looking at me like crazy. I pleaded my case and promised to stop eating my bagel breakfast for a bit and retest.

Of course I passed but left with the feeling of, "I'm too young to be too old for this shiat."

Started my own biz during the covid Dorian Gap because I'm definitely too old for that shiat any more. Things have changed and the authoritarians have lost a lot of their hold on people.

Context may help.

"An ice cream cone with nuts and chocolate scored a 37. A multigrain bagel with raisins got a 19. To compare, saltine crackers only got a seven."

I've got a feeling there is something going on here with presentation and ingredients rather than a consideration to time, concept of consumption, and place.

Also raisins are disgusting.

Stupid in sourced article is stupid.
Reducing nutrition to a single number is even more stupid.
Not explaining how the scores were arrived at is abysmally stupid.
Subby is dumber than a box of rocks for submitting.
Mods even dumber for greenlighting

Bagels per unit mass have waaay more carbs than ice cream. Ice cream is mostly water.

Conversely, ice cream has a bunch of refined sugar in it (usually).

Regardless, you're better off eating an egg with a biscuit and a couple slices of bacon.

Americans love having dessert for breakfast.

Pro tip: Less carbs and sugar. More protein.
