Yes. That is a good idea.

Oh well, better the aquarium than their natural habitat like the lunatic tourists at La Jolla Cove. This individual is going to lose a hand:

I don't know this story but I can imagine it involves a seal tearing this guy up about 10 seconds after this picture

The dolphins are easily the hardest partying critters in the ocean. Curious af and always ready to party. If you're gonna jump in a tank, jump in the dolphin tank. Rather than wine, bring delicious anchovies. You'll make lots of new friends quick (before the cops get there).

This you?

Two Welshmen have been charged after a fairy penguin was taken from a theme park in Queensland, Australia.

The pair, aged 20 and 21, and another man, allegedly broke in to the enclosure in a prank after a night out.
It is claimed they swam with dolphins before taking seven-year-old Dirk back to their hotel room. Dirk has never lived in the wild.

The men, who have been charged with stealing the penguin and trespass, will appear in court on 2 May.
One of the men involved in the incident, calling himself Rhys Jones, apologised and said in an interview on Australian TV: "Still a bit fuzzy about the whole thing but on behalf of the three of us we are very sorry and it was just a prank which went way too far."

He added later: "We are all three of us sorry to Sea World for the time lost in them searching for Dirk and we're glad he's all right."

It is alleged the men found Dirk in their hotel room the morning after.

I've been in the ocean with wild seals, with and without scuba, and they seemed to enjoy it. No death or farking involved, at any rate, although the water did try to freeze my balls off.

I went to a professional networking event at the Boston Aquarium a few years back. Open bar. I'm not ashamed to say that I took advantage of the free penguintinis (yes, that was what they called them). Walked out of there a bit on the fuzzy side.

As much as I wanted to sneak into the penguin pool, I settled for the touch tank... and not getting arrested by BPD.

CSB off

Animals in captivity like chaotic weird happenings, sometimes. Breaks the routine, but it also breaks the monotony.

On the other hand, it is their only home, and should be respected. Visitors should be invited.

I was out surfing a long distance from any body and one popped his head out of the water only a few metres from my board, almost gave me a heart attack, we head each other and then he swam off.

There's lots of oxygen in the atmosphere. The increasing CO2 concentration is a more likely explanation.

COVID can also cause low blood oxygen levels, and there's plenty of it going around these days.

Or the stress of the past two years is making people batshiat insane.

Time to add lithium or Haldol to the water supply. Maybe the government can open up some non-profit health spas where you can legally microdose on LSD or shrooms for the afternoon to decompress.

I was on holiday in Suffolk last week and a seal pup swam up to within 2 meters of my 6-year-old who was paddling in knee-deep water, then came up out onto the beach, had a look around and went back in.  I thought my dog was in the water to start with.  It was great.  I'm glad its mother didn't get that close though.
