Section 8 has better security

Yeah, but does this one lean?

claims have now surfaced of contractors stealing from empty apartments and a missing city work permit.

What's there to steal in an empty apartment?

Property management company Hines told SFGATE over email that they have temporarily removed all contractor access in light of the incidents and are working on increasing security measures.

"All employees must select an accountability buddy to always work in pairs."

The company also told ABC7 that the contractor who was observed taking an item from the apartment was "terminated immediately."

How about arrested immediately? Or did you not think to call the police and give them his name because that doesn't affect you? Don't worry, it will in the lawsuit.

No, these are the luxury apartments that double as swimming pools

Do you have to pay more for the lean or the leak and rob?

Maybe they couldn't recover what was taken? In the video, you have what appears to be someone taking something, but it's not THAT clear. So maybe they actually need an item they can identify as stolen first? Best I can think of.

The whole farking story is confusing, though. no access allowed at all?? Everything is just where they left it on June 3? Or are these such upper class people that they have like 3 wallets, and/or money just laying around their house?

Nobody lives there at the moment, but there are still belongings, money, checkbooks, mail, etc., laying around the units.

How do you know they did not?  A one word against another property theft with no violence or illegal entry?   Yeah sure kid, we'll get around to that in about never - file a report if you want whatever shrug

thought this would be the leaning tower of SF

We had our hardwood floors refinished, and had to stay out of the house for two days. When we returned, we discovered that someone had emptied four or five liquor bottles, including a previously unopened bottle of Makers Mark that my wife and I dipped ourselves on a tour of the distillery. The floor company said that one of the guys was new, and they apologized profusely, gave us $200 in gift cards, and fired the guy. I'm still wondering if he drank it all in two days or brought in several large containers to fill up, and how the other guy didn't notice anything was off either way.

At least we don't waste money on decent buildings here. The damn things are gonna come down with the next earthquake/yomamafart, so why bother with attractive or livable or dry? Just barf 'em up, take your cut, and move on. We replaced a beautiful old library with a goddam prison for books, downtown there's a clown-glass pile of crap with glass pianos trying to escape from it, and one of the most noticeable new buildings looks like a huge disco dildo. And not in a good way.

The only thing the locals hate about the leaning tower is that from some angles it's leaning to the right! (locally-sourced cruelty free pearl clutching ensues)

A city could house a bunch of homeless people in a building like that if a city wanted to

I love San Francisco, I would never want to live there.  Visited for 40 years, like any cramped city like New York it is just awful for someone who likes to drive. No San Francisco is not all like this but anyone coming from a flat state this is a mountain.
