We knew this going in, and we WARNED y'all motherf*ckers about it, and now folks have the audacity to pretend to be surprised, all while covering the bullsh*t with glee. The Fifth Estate failed us, and is on the ramparts throwing sh*t down on the masses.

TFG** is a symptom. And the big problem is the mass of damaged humans that have been accumulated in the GOP power structure. The gen pop of deplorables has always and will always be with us but when franchised and emboldened by the turds in office, they are a clear and present danger.
These are harsh times in the shire.

I never thought of war as a public health crisis, but that's kind of what it is, in a way.

It's a crime what the AMA did to professor Lee.  We can all see what Trump is doing, and to keep your mouth shut is to support the rise of fascism.  To suppress the truth coming from your peers?  Shameful.

The people who were meant to be 'warned' aren't aware of any of this as they live in an alternate universe. In their universe, they've been proven right about everything and the libz have been proven completely wrong.

You can see it in their talk (mostly memes; let's be honest) about how they're now owed an apology for being right when everyone doubted them before - mostly because either Obiden has totes ruined the US economy and left the border wide open (eye roll) or their conspiracy theories about the CDC/Fauci were all proved correct now that guidance for avoiding covid has been eased (told ya we never needed them thar masks, libs!).

The elevation - hell, the *celebration* - of stupidity is complete.

That's farking horrible.

Around here the RWNJs assume all non-RWNJs are fat, unattractive females with blue or pink hair. Like all those memes they share. They obsess over the blue/pink hair part, too. It's so weird.

"Her alleged offense was violating the 1973 Goldwater Rule, an APA guideline stating that "it is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion" of anyone without conducting a personal examination and getting proper approval."

In most cases conducting a personal examination before making a diagnosis is required. With Trump, his insanity and evil is exposed for all to see.

It's called "politics" and it's a strategy as old as the hills.  You hope the other side runs the shiattiest, most extreme candidate because that's almost always poison for the other side.

It doesn't mean you don't also warn against voting for that candidate.  The meaning is the EXACT OPPOSITE.  It means you know they're terrible and you say so every day once they're nominated.

They weren't publicly telling voters to back Trump they were telling the press to take him (and others like Cruz) seriously in the hopes the GOP would run shiatty candidates.

Then you make sure everyone knows how shiatty those candidates are.

Ultimately the GOP primary voters are the ones to blame for selecting Trump, not Hillary.

So take that MAGA whatabouting elsewhere.

Hahaha. I really needed the job, so I bit my tongue and kept my head down. It was a small mom/pop good ole boy company. If I would've said anything I would've been fired immediately. Every place I've worked since then? All actually professional, I wouldn't hesitate to report them.

I worked at a place like that, but the department I was in was mixed race and we all got along busted balls, got our work done had fun. But when I would be out in the building on my own and I would be around other white people I guess they figured I was in the club and would just drop Nbombs and other slurs around me. I worked with a VERY attractive hispanic woman and the stuff they said about her made me cringe. That place made me feel so uncomfortable around white people. I did tell my coworkers when we were out at happy hour one day and they pretty much knew about it from other white people that had worked there that told them.

Yeah, exactly. Most people aren't open books, telling you every passing thought and then having it recorded. There is nothing an in-person interview with Trump could tell you there aren't thousands of PUBLIC records available containing. My wife is a psychologist who is a forensic evaluator. She'd LOVE to have the sheer amount of readily available documentation on any of her cases.

433: Did she know that back then because of extensive training in her field, or because it was obvious?

According to the article, mainly the latter. That's what's so problematic about her dismissal from Yale. While they maintain she violated ethical standards by diagnosing a non patient, her position is that she basically was stating an obvious point that the man is dangerous and would incite violence.

Arguably, she was dismissed not because of professional standards, but because Yale wanted to avoid political controversy.

2022-08-18 9:27:43 AM
Long article but worth the read. Here's an interesting part:

"As Lee sliced and diced their massive data set, she was shocked to find significantly higher national rates of violent death under Republican presidents than under Democratic ones. What's more, murder and suicide rates were higher in states that had voted for Republican presidential candidates than in those that had voted for Democratic candidates. Their key findings were published as a 2011 monograph, Why Some Politicians Are More Dangerous Than Others."

He's still making threats.   Recently he told the AG, "America is on fire." {a fire he started}, and implied only he could get it under control.    This is a classic mob threat, "Nice business you got here, would be a shame if it burned to the ground.  You really should think about purchasing a Trump fire protection policy."

Not to mention a campaign so out of touch they though Donald Trump advertising in Michigan and Wisconsin was a sign that he was losing...so they canceled any appearances in the state and dropped most advertising....instead spending money in California , Chicago and Texas of all places.

Yeah...saying they were right is a pretty low bar on this one. Other people were right as well...and did not sit on their ass rather than campaign.
