Unless they die first of a myriad of other causes with much higher chances of occurrence. The risk from any individual volcano is typically quite low.

Let's see. Universal health care, a good economy, progressive social policies, etc. Of course there are problems with living in the bible belt of Canada. As soon as you leave the city you're in knuckle dragging hickville. I can think of plenty of worse places to live, and at the top of that list is pretty much anywhere in the US right now.
