Weird, I've seen Chihuahuas that act like they'll rip the heads off of dogs ten times their size... but I guess the big dogs don't usually fight back.

All of my dogs are smaller than my bruiser of a cat. 2 are terrified of him, the 3rd holds her own and rushes in to protect the other 2. The cat has never been hurt but he's sent one of the dogs to the hospital a couple of times. Fun times.

I understand his trepidation. We have a Chi who is smaller than both of our cats. They all get along mostly by ignoring each other. There were a few small barking skirmishes when he first moved in, but since he experienced the sharp end of the cats they all live with a mutual respect.

This reminds of driving in rural East TN and needing to turn around.  NEVER  pull into a drive. Backing in says "I am not here about your pot grow, or your meth kitchen, or your still, and I do not have any kind of  paper with your name on it. I'm just turning around, and I'm being quick about it."
