still light years ahead of the US in terms of social justice and keeping their law enforcement in check

That's better than the police in the US.

How about just cops who commit any crime should never be cops again?
And prosecuted with automatic max penalty for the crime itself.

At first I was gonna say, except traffic laws.
But you know what, how about especially traffic laws.

No. They rightly consider that our business.

They do openly refer to US LEOs as "thugs with badges" though

The first 2 hits on that search were articles that attempted to debunk the 40% study findings.

What sort of loser says to themselves "you know what this thread needs? A totally unrelated bit of anti-trans hate"?

Im seriously wondering if you don't get enough chances with the regular amount of LGBTQ threads that you need to inject this trash into every conversation? Are you really that hate filled?

Just goes to show even when the cops are UK which is massively less violent and more honest and accountable than in the US, they're still really really hard to hold accountable when they're criminals.

Is this "convicted" or is this just "if you don't give me what I want in the divorce, or break up with me, I'll get you fired and banned without your day in court".  Article seems to say both/is unclear.  Conviction is a great reason to fire them. Accusation, not so much.

Seems a little too much. Like even if they promise never to do it again after they sober up? How about the ones who didn't mean to hit their gf/spouse but it is just that she makes him so crazy?

Um, that's what defund the police means duh

What percentage gave up all of it because they refused to get vaccinated?

/who am I kidding, it's impossible for fire a cop for anything except breaking the thin blue line.

Metropolitan Police policy of arresting those protesting cops murdering women still in place.

2022-08-17 11:32:10 PM
So there's a new policy that says they should be following the old policy.

2022-08-17 11:39:36 PM
They should probably go ahead and rewrite that law to fire cops who beat up any and all genders of people

"Police officers who are violent towards women or girls can expect to be sacked"

Violence against men or boys still ok.

Now you understand Brexit.

Maybe it should be domestic violence?  I mean, I'm pretty sure there are cops who abuse men and boys and agender folk too.

How about no violence. And regular testing for testosterone and adrenaline outside normal ranges.

Headline: Police officers violent to women will be sacked under new guidance

Wow.

Not sure what's sadder: the headline or the fact that it uses the word "new" and is happening in August of 2022.
