I always liked the old T and J when they didn't talk, you could play some tunes and  watch some toons while getting high after school

It's the new HD TVs. Cats didn't used to see anything of interest. Now, when we watch TV one of the cats will often jump up on the counter and watch along. If it's a nature show, they're transfixed.

We just got an HD TV and the doggo acts the same way.
