Sometimes the teenage tendency to impulsiveness is a good thing. No thoughts of liability or personal danger, just do what needs to be done. Bloody well done, guys!

Treyvon Adams, 16, was driving to school Friday morning with his teammates Antwion Carey, 16, Tyson Brown, 17, and Alto Moore, 16, when they saw the crash

.
iat's cool as hell that Georgia still lets minors drive around without an 18 or over accompanying them.

Boojum2k: No thoughts of liability

Why would there be liability, or even thoughts of it?
I already have a good idea what you're going to say, but I want to be ready with the eye rolling gifs.

Can I be the Debbie downer and point out the correct thing to so in that situation would be to keep the person calm and wait for emergency services to properly extricate the victim in case of spinal injuries that could be worsened?

Unless there's a fire or other immediate danger, of course.

Not really.  What the article called smoke is pretty clearly steam from the radiator.  It's white, smoke would be gray to black.

The article would have mentioned if the car caught fire after the women was freed.  Maybe there's a better article with that detail, but everything in the linked article indicates they shouldn't have moved her. This is very basic first aid.

Hmmm, non-professionals happen on a car wreck, see what they think is smoke, and is described in the article, and are moved to action. I've been first aid certified most of my adult life, and the guidelines for moving people have become considerably loosened over the years.

When I was a boy scout you didn't move them unless there were flames licking at the injured's limbs. Now it's suggested to move them if there's a hint of danger. Or at least that was the training last fall. It may have changed again.

TFA says they helped her out of the car. Here's hoping that is the case. Because pulling her out would have been wrong.

See?  There is hope for humanity.  6 teens and none of them whipped out their phone to post it on social media.

"In a post on Twitter, the school's football team wrote, "PROUD of our MEN!" in reference to the story."

I have a feeling they mean an adult school administrator.

Rescuing the lady was nice too. We need more adults like these teens.
