I hate to break this to you, but buffalo tenders have been a pizza topping for decades. Same as BBQ tenders. Or throwing raw potato chips to serve as a further starch base for cheesy toppings with bacon.

I was expecting cigarette butts, bleu cheese, and pineapple toppings, and was disappointed to see (as noted before) a decades-old bar food combo item instead.

Is it "dumping 80% of their wannabecheesecakefactoryblandshiat including the shiatty new burgers" and bringing back the beef and weck?

/no real complaints about the sauces - blazin is still hot and good

Well sure everything there is over priced, but at least they pour super stingy drinks too.

Lol I literally came to say this. I haven't even eaten at a BWW in years, but I buy that mango habanero sauce at the grocery store all the time. Goes great on damn near anything.

Are BWWs chicken tenders actual chicken or are they like the crappy gas station ones that are clearly gefilte fish that has been breaded and fried?

I haven't been there in 4 or 5 years and never got boneless anything from them, so I don't know.

I remember 25 cent wing night with no minimum.  I'd always order 1 of their hottest flavor for the hell of it.

Not that I'll go there unless I'm in a group that insists, but I'll never order anything with their boneless "wings". They are terrible. 50% breading with enough salt to kill a goat. If one must eat there, always go with bone-in wings.

I assumed it was a herb garnish. Basil, perhaps.

What if... and hear me out... what if they ditched the potatoes, and either baked or deep fried some tortillas until they were crispy, hit them with some salt, and broke them into smaller pieces? Then comes the cheese, chicken, and bacon.

Then you are going to have to go with a par-baked pizza dough. Straight up, your chips turn into a sog fest under the cheese and if there's any underlying sauce. Nachos work because they are only under heat long enough to melt cheese. If you want crispy nacho tops on a pizza, you have to take the pizza out of the oven about 98% cooked, top with chips and cheese and your chicken and bacon, then finish it the oven. Which, if you're doing any sort of bangin' business, you do NOT want to be hauling a pie out, topping it a second time, especially with hot sauce and cheese, to top and then stick it BACK in to risk either forgetting it--it happens to everyone at one time or another, and if you've already touched it once, it's easier to forget the very short pull time when balancing other stuff, like making MOAR pies.

A par-baked dough will cut that time down, but you need toppings that just need to be lightly toasted, and enough time for cheese to melt.

Better solution, if you're looking at doing a chicken and bacon pizza with chips, do it normally, then at the end, garnish with crushed chips and fresh jalapeños, banana peppers, or scallions, and maybe even some pico de gallo, and a dollop of sour cream in the very middle. You could do the same for a chili based pizza as well. Chili in the stead of a red sauce makes for a great nosh, and throwing on some fresh toppings AFTER it comes out only layers more textures and flavors which means every single bite is a little different.

Also, if you want to do a potato based chicken and bacon pizza, and you want more texture, go with a the cheese sauce base, uncooked potato chip, cheese, and bacon, then top with a diced fried chicken breast AFTER it comes out, sprinkle crushed potato chips, and maybe some fresh green onion and parsley for funsies. You get twice the potato experience, with both the au gratin-esque nature of the cooked chips with sauce and cheese, as well as the crunch of chips.

Naw, I was just mocking the "new-ness" of BWW putting chicken on pizza by pretending nachos weren't a thing that already existed. Though now I'm willing to try nacho pizza were it free, and would pay for it after a bender.

Back when it was BW3 (for Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck) both the wings and "boneless wings" were killer, especially for a chain.

Over the years, the real wings got smaller, and smaller, and smaller.

I was traveling earlier this spring, there was no interesting looking local place within 20 miles of my hotel, but there was a B-dub across the parking lot. Hadn't been in one for maybe 5 years, so what the heck. Noticing from other patrons' orders that the real wings had gotten even smaller, I opted for the boneless.

Good thing those were still big enough to cut in half, because one was full of grey-ish discolored mush. Another looked normal, but when I bit into it the texture was just wrong, all rubbery like what I imagine biting into a Superball would be like.

Anyway, the wings got taken off the bill, the onion rings were still pretty good. And the bartender didn't charge me for the my last two beers, both decent local craft brews. So, profit, I guess?

The sauces are still killer though.

Oh, you'd pay for it sober too. I am trying to clear my black bean chili through corporate right now, and on a flatbread, with plenty of Monterey Jack and cheddar, fresh peppers, scallion, and said dollop of sour cream. It is deliish. It is a monster and so very filling. It is perfect for mid-bender to soak up some beer and Jameson.

I won't forgive them until they bring back the blackened chicken jerk sandwich with bleu cheese dressing. And I used to be a shift manager at one in college.
