Are Elvish and Dwarvish both derived from the same alphabet? Because if they're not, there's no way they'd both fit on the same QWERTY keyboard.

Oh boy, now you've done it: You have rung the dinnerbell for elvish Dvorak enthusiasts. All is lost.

Gary: This is nuts. Like, half of it is written in Klingon.  And the rest is Sindarin.

Billy: Actually, that's Quenya -- high-Elven, very similar to Sindarin.

Dermott: Yeah, I left my English-to-Geek dictionary in my room.

Sauron was the one most interested in technology, so the first Middle Earth keyboard would be in the Black Speech.

CSB:

I once changed my teacher's font in Word to Pnakotic, and moved ALL of his fonts to a subfolder in the Drafts folder.

After fifteen minutes of hearing, "Either this is a virus, or..." I showed him what I did. This was in 2001, and I'm guessing that MS no longer allows custom fonts in Office, due to copyright issues.

/I regret nothing. Even the "you get to watch my box defrag" punishment.

Novelty e-junk, they'll make 1,000 units, 3 actual ultranerds will use them seriously, a couple dozen more will sit on collectible shelves, and the rest will go to the dump as people ask what those funny Arabic looking keyboards are.

If it was also steam punk and elvish, then I might consider a purchase. None of this half-ass effort.

Wut.

The keycaps also have normal letters on them - it's a quality backlit mechanical keyboard with premium switches. I'm sure they'll get plenty of use. Quality mech keyboards are a thing that people who type a lot tend to enjoy.

It would be novelty e-junk if it was some random shiat accessory company like Belkin.

Now that would be a cool one - maybe next year we can get Numenoran and Mordor script.

The amount of quality, saleable, new-in-box or barely used merchandise I've personally had to throw into dumpsters and trash compactors is more where I was coming from, more than any issues with the actual quality of the product. This is the kind of thing that lots of times just doesn't have as big a market as imagined, or the novelty wears off in a year when the consumer buys a new computer, and ends up dumped or disused in short order.

If that had been an actual dwarven keyboard the keys would either be hammers sticking up with the head as the finger plate or ale mugs with the foam shaped like the letter.

Yeah, I think they've sold a good number of the plain sets. (With the caveat that a good-selling keycaps set can't really be that much.) My son loves his dwarf set. Think he would still prefer his keyboard with the kailh box clicky switches because he can program the RGB.
Their entry level keyboard that this is based off of looked decent enough. To each his own. There's lots of hobbies out there. Personally, I'm just waiting for them to offer some Disney ones, since they already offered Marvel ones. I want my angry donald duck keycaps.
/typing this on nasa-themed keycaps, and waiting impatiently for my napoleonic-era-themed ones to come in.
//yes, i drank the koolaid.

Missed opportunities.  Would expect dorf keyboard to be ... chunkier.  Lots chunkier.  And would expect the elvish keyboard to be ergonomic and more organic looking.

It is qwerty or some other keyboard design?

Like Ls seem very popular in Elvish and Ks in Dwarfish, so maybe a ljtyi and kdrkk system?

Heh, stupid farking dwarves. Ohh, I'm resistant to poison and crushing but huge penalty to intelligence and common sense.

Seriously, Tolkien dwarves are dumb as fark. "Oh hey, they burned thousands of us out of this hold, why don't we send our king and like 50 dwarves to recolonize it? What's a Balrog?"

Hell, they never saw it because the trash mobs snuffed them. From the arrows everywhere it was the goblins that did him in, not even trolls or full orcs.

Moria, why not start by pumping the place full of gas and throwing a match in bad as far as detours go.
