But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

I imagine Fetterman's working with great therapists to overcome any residual damage from his stroke but this is going to be like Biden's overcome stuttering in that everyone knows but the right is going to hammer away as if it's a "gotcha."

Fetterman was always a little awkward speaking. He always was choppy in his delivery. Yeah, it's clearly worse now based on the edited clips mentioned in the article, but he was always lacking in the oration department. This has never impacted his words, ideas, goals, orientation, actions, etc.

But the right sure will attack it as if it will sink him. And who knows, maybe it will stick. Purple heart bandages and all...

This is just a chance for Oz to try and get soundbites in. He wants derpublicans and inderpendents to see him railing at Fetterman with as much Gusto and attitude as he can produce. He wants to make one-line attacks that will play well with the uneducated when they get vomitted out on Faux Gnus.

The problem that I don't think Mehmet QUITE gets is that he's just a little more brown than most Pennsylvanian conderpatives are comfortable voting for. Plus... Mehmet Oz? What is he, some kind of foreigner?! Fetterman looks like he belongs there to the right wing so they'll tolerate him more than they will some edumacated immigrant from Jersey.

And maybe I'm wrong. It won't be the first time, and I'm sure not the last. However, I have a good feeling about Oz getting sent back to his Jersey estate without a win under his hat.

I think there are a few other factors to consider though.

First, his recovering from a stroke makes him a sympathetic speaker, and his candid admission that he failed to look after his health, ignoring his doctor's advice, is very relatable to a lot of people -- and he's already a pretty well-liked, very down-to-earth person.

Second, he's in the lead in every area, and Oz's attempts to demonize Fetterman with ridiculous ads have backfired horribly, effectively pushing more people to want to vote for Fetterman, not less.

Third, Fetterman has a platform.  Oz doesn't -- or rather, his platform is built exclusively on shiatting all over Fetterman.

Fourth, and perhaps most importantly, debating with Oz is like arguing with an angry macaque.  Fetterman may not be the greatest orator, but he's going up against someone who, while he may be highly accustomed to speaking in front of a lot of people, only knows how to throw shiat and masturbate over TFG.  All Fetterman has to do is follow Sun Tzu's advice: Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake, and follow that up with talking about his own plans if he gets elected -- something Oz has yet to do.  Oh, I'm sure Oz will spout off some ridiculous off-the-cuff right-wing promises, but Fetterman's likeability and relatability will make his platform sound more plausible than Oz's howling fountain of sewage.

Oh, I think Fetterman is going to mop the state with Oz.

I think the only way Oz wins is if the Rs do something absolutely absurd, like vilify the act of recovering fully from a stroke.

They're Republicans.  Absurdity is a day ending in Y for them.  They'd attack him for having a stroke in the first place.  "How can you expect him to look after Pennsylvanians when he won't even look after himself?"  There is no ground so low that they will not stoop to meet it.  I don't think it will do Oz any favours to do so, but neither do I expect Oz to understand that.

Don't give him opportunities to stop losing.

One does not get in to a battle of wits with a New Jersian unless Fetterman is ready for every reply to be "Eh, and your mother."

Yeah right, like Oz hasn't had several strokes himself.
Look at the guy!

I gotta give Oz some credit.  He's classed up my vocabulary.

I've always said "Pick up a veggie tray from Winn Dixie," but from now on I'm saying "Oh dear, please remember to bring the crudites from the farmer's market."

The poll for the governor's race is just as good.

Only caveat is that there are still about 15% undecided in both polls and its fair to say a chunk of that will reluctantly vote for Oz and Mastriano.

If Fetterman was in a coma, he'd still be a better candidate than Oz.

Even if he has cognitive decline from the stroke he's still a better choice than OZ.

Excuse me WHAAAT.

You did NOT just shiat on Dr. No! While it's obviously the first step in the Bond franchise, and they're still figuring things out, it has a decontamination scene which is weirdly one of the most accurate on film. While the moving shower thing is silly, the constant monitoring for reducing levels and the checking under the fingernails? LEGIT. Speaking as radiation safety personnel, the swimming pool reactor with level A is FARKING HILARIOUS, but considering the year it was made, the movie gets a thumbs-up from me for making what is actually am AMAZING effort.

What is Oz going to do in the debate, point out that Fetterman had a stroke and laugh at him? I think that might backfire, doctor.

Debate him. After getting his ass handed to him in the first two, Oz will cancel the rest.

/Electing Fetterman would be like electing Stephen Hawking.  I mean, really, that guy couldn't even tie his own shoes...

I don't know with certainty, but I'm thinking if Oz thinks he can survive the first debate, he doesn't understand his opponent.
Give him all five, on the calendar, lock in the dates and places.
Oh, and have them in places that only a Pennsylvanian can find.  Dushore comes to mind, and perhaps Quarryville.

How are so many people dumb enough to be undecided at this point? Not voting because of apathy I can understand but if you do think your vote matters then you either want a christofacist government or not.

Plenty of Republican-dominated districts are probably ready to delay, lose, decertify and disqualify as many mail-in ballots as possible, ruthlessly purge those voter rolls without telling anyone so that (conveniently, only Dem-registered) voters show up & get a Provisional ballot they can then throw away, cut down on voting machines & workers so (again, only in dem-leaning districts) end up with 8-hour wait times that push working voters out of the pool, etc.

And, of course, there's always the - if you'll forgive the expression - trump card of the Legislature just calling the whole thing off when it looks like they're going to lose, as they've been preparing to do for 2 years.

Smooth move Oz as low as you are in the polls you better be begging for a debate and bring your A game. But if it is like anything we have seen so far from him it will be a colossal flop. He will probably request that he be allowed a bluetooth headset for reason so his staff can give him answers and one liners.
