he is being treated unfairly because other former presidents also took classified information from the White House.

Cool. That means Trump did nothing when he should have and does not believe in being tough on crime.  Sounds about right given his history of being absolutely incompetent and appointing incompetent people.

I sure hope the FBI found the dirt that Trump has on FOX News.

No, they didn't.  They didn't go get two separate people, to open the two separate combination codes on the safe full of TS nuclear information and lift and entire box full of material out of said safe, sign out every document, pack it in a box and then load it onto a trailer headed for home.  They didn't find a couple of people who had to check out high-security keys to open the high security locks on the door leading to the TS-SCI information, and then cart it all out on a dolly.

I wasn't present but I would bet every dollar I have that such a thing *didn't* happen with those other Presidents.

Oh, and one thing that wasn't mentioned yesterday (or in any broadcast on the matter).  An authority doesn't (or can't) simply deem a document "unclassified" with the wave of their hand.  The program or pieces of the program are declared unclassified which may or may not de-classify the document which then has to go through an entire process.

Other Presidents sent their documents to the National Archives, like Obama did. Prior to 1978, before the Presidential Records Act, she might have had a point. But I don't think that Jerry Ford lined his den with nuclear secrets just for ya-yas.

I'm thinking about redoing my kitchen in CIA kill lists.

FBI never investigated George Washington for taking Nuclear documents from the White House to his golf resort in Florida!

Remember when the right lost their farking minds and wanted Hillary arrested for treason for sharing "classified information" during one of her debates with Trump where she aid the response time the U.S. would have in a nuclear attack was roughly ~4 minutes or so?

Yeah.

Of course he's soft on crime. According to Republicans, multiple US cities burned down during the BLM "riots" of 2020 and nobody was prosecuted for it.

I have it on good authority that Kennedy took a coconut with a secret message carved in the side home from the White House.

For the people in the back, FTA:

"So again: the events at Mar-a-Lago were unprecedented, because the actions of Trump are unprecedented. Never before have federal law enforcement agents had to obtain a search warrant to retrieve classified documents from a former president because of a national security risk."

Yeah, Trump is being treated different. Because no other president has been as reckless, dangerous, and openly terrible for America.

Even if it was still classified it would not matter in that unlike TFG, the former presidents (other than TFG) were given security clearances by their successors in office. The reason TFG was not granted this courtesy by Biden was because the intelligence community recommended that he not be given a clearance because the intelligence community considered him to be too great a risk due to his erratic behavior. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/05/us/politics/biden-trump-intelligence-briefings.html

It's like how if you quit a job at McDonald's, they just let you take whatever you want. A shake-machine, payroll information and home addresses, food from the freezer, busts of Abraham Lincoln.

Be like president Trump kids, if you quit a job, take whatever you want home with you. If they accuse you of theft, you know they are in a conspiracy against you as part of the deep state.

My understanding is that the purpose for giving a former president a security clearance is so that you can consult with them on issues or events that they might have some unique insight on. I can't imagine why Biden would want to consult with Trump about anything.

1. There were no boxes at Mar-a-Lago
2. Other people brought those boxes to Mar-a-Lago
3. Archives could have retrieved the boxes anytime they wanted
4. All the documents in the boxes were declassified
5. I was protecting the boxes for the Archives
6. The boxes were planted by the FBI
7. Obama had more boxes
8.The documents should not have been classified in the first place
9. The documents were already returned.
10. They were my documents
11. There was a standing order that any documents I took out of the Oval Office were automatically declassified
12. Mishandled and rushed move by GSA
13. Invented hoax because J6 Committee ratings were dropping
14. Laws against espionage are wrong
15. Documents are protected by Client-attorney Privilege
16. Documents are protected by Executive Privilege
17. Not only were the FBI wrong in taking them - they better give them back
18. The sensitivity of the documents has expired.
19. Like President Nixon said, "if the president does it, then it is not illegal."
20. I don't believe in the classification system
21. It was an assassination plot
22. Charging Trump would cause so much mayhem it would be a monstrous mistake
23. Every President takes classified documents with them when they leave

That is one of the purposes, however do you really think W would have called on Bill for much advice? Even so, the purpose of giving the clearance is not overly relevant (other then a "need to know" factor in compartmentalized information).

Eisenhower famously used a copy of our nuclear strategy on a wobbly card table. Jimmy Carter had extensive knowledge of nuclear submarines.

Even though he died in office FDR is believed to have been buried with the Elder Wand.

Interviews with presidents in the past lead me to believe that once they were done with the job, they reflect on why in the hell they did it in the first place.

When i quit an employer, i sure as hell don't take a bunch of files home to read/reflect on. I put that shiat in the rear view mirror.

Maybe if the farking coont had accepted that he lost and helped with the peaceful transfer of power, people wouldn't be as suspicious of his criminal ass.
