I don't drink tea or iced tea, so I never even heard of this company.

I have two Pepsi cans at home that were sealed but empty because somehow a slit at the bottom of the can caused them to drain. There was no evidence of it cut while in the package. One was from around 2000 and another was Pepsi Max from the same decade. They are still proudly displayed on my book shelf.

They were local and featured prominently in Whole Foods, and they weren't too sweet, so I was all over HonesTea for a while, as a pack-in drink for bagged lunches.

/at least until I switched to martinis for lunch...

Honestea. Justice Tea.  Funnea!  Never noticed the double meaning until this article. Also didn't know Honest Tea just got shiatcanned, I thought my local had just replaced it for cost/sourcing issues, that sucks!  In a world where everything had sugar or shiat chems in it, honest tea was a solid add to any purchase at the grocery.

Oh that's good. Pepsi's tea is crap. And southerners with their sweat tea are wrong and horrible at choosing beverages.

I have one can of Sprite from around the same time. No puncture was in a 12 pack totally empty. Coke sent me a free case. I'm guessing it was a perfect storm of several sensors failing. Because they weigh each can and the package on the line.

Looks like an ad for Coca Cola.  Never understood buying iced tea, it's better and cheaper to make at home.

vudukungfu: Mushroom jerky sounds like the Lincoln bedroom

Yeah.
I'd still try it if was any cheaper than regular jerky. Hopefully it doesn't taste like cardboard.

I watched a video about the history of RC Cola just this morning, so I kind of expected this to be that.

OK. I live in an area where there are no Whole Foods. I guess that store would be worth the trip if I ever go?

Shouldn't that be iceD tea?

Oh, "justice tea".  I get it.

Was honest tea the brand that had kind of hippie-fied looking cans and flavor names?

wait..nevermind.  i'm thinking of Peace tea.  Those are pretty good! lower calorie option that some of the (admittedly, more delicious) things like arizona extra sweet tea.  Ya'll slam beers after mowing grass, but to me a 24oz can of tea is where its at in the summer.

I mean, maybe?  There are alternatives (Sprouts, Roots, My Organic Market) but they seem to balance their size with having some solid products.  But they're not the only game in town.

Ker_Thwap: it's better and cheaper to make at home.

Well that's true for almost everything. But we are lazy.

Coke realizes they farked up and are reversing a rather critically panned decision.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pepper/Schwepps continues to keep the longest continually produced soft drink, Hire Root Beer, from mass market. Because they know that Hires would outperform the demon piss of their 'marquee' brand, A&W.

Ooooo. Now I crave a root beer float.
