The sophisticated consumer will continue to subscribe to their streaming service through Dollar Tree.

I'm still going to keep using Target Max.

So what you're saying is that by 2032, all streaming services will be Taco Bell.

Most "Plus" streaming services are really only beneficial to sports fans.
Even movie fans can chill a month until it becomes available with most bundles.

And just like that we recreated cable.

I'm just gonna get a 300-minute watch card from 7-11 when I need to watch TV.

All restaurants are Taco Bell.

Well, I guess my days of not shopping at Walmart and not watching Paramount+ will continue unabated.

It seems logical. Paramount+ is the Walmart of streaming services.

Walmart owns Vudu, right? If they combined the content, maybe Paramount Plus would not suck as badly.

Ok, I'm out of step. Honestly had no idea a Walmart+ was a thing. I knew the had something that delivered groceries but a streaming service?  No thanks, I'll hold out for HomeDepot+

I hate the direction streaming is going. But it's not cable. Not even close.

This sort of solidifies in my mind that Walmart+ is crap and they are adding a crap streaming service (the real ones have all said no).  They should add Peacock while they're at it.

I'm using a trial offer for Paramont+ and just finished watching season 2 of Picard.  Man, for a show that started out so great it really went off the rails at episode, um, 7?  The one where he's in a coma and it's all about the little boy and his mom.  Every ep after that was a little worse, the the finale flat out sucked.

/ should probably put this in a Star Trek thread somewhere

Cable never brought groceries to my house.

Just wait until the Cylons show up, or whoever the villain is.

People are paying 12.95 per month for Walmart+?

Optimus Primate: People are paying 12.95 per month for Walmart+?

At one time (and probably still) it was the only way to buy a PS5 or XBoxX from them. Other than that, maybe if you had surgery and needed groceries delivered for a few weeks it might be useful for a month's subscription.

I guess this where I confess Lower Decks, Legacy, and Discovery are boring wastes of time.  That's not quite right, Discovery is an abomination.  Quit watching it a couple years ago over I think magic mushrooms drove warp engines or somesuch.  Whatever, the stupidity hit a level I couldn't handle.

Strange New Worlds has promise, I'm on the 6th ep but frankly, if I lost access to it yesterday I wouldn't care.

/ now you know why I didn't post to a Streck forum
// Spoilers ahead
/// Picard completely rewrites history by making the Borg Allies?  Yeah, GTFO.
