Saw IX: Win One For The Zepper?

I think I lost track after the first three. I like horror movies and with my TV on basically 24/7 I have horror movies (and a few TV shows) playing all October, but I don't know that I'll bother to add any of the Saw movies. It's not even that I am bothered by the "gore porn" or whatever they call it, they just are kind of meh to me after the original.

Well.  That'll make my son happy.  He's 13 and loves all things horror.

That's a shame. The opening of Saw IV has my very favorite trap of the whole series. It might be my favorite horror series - the quality is pretty consistent(ly riding the line of "good even though it's bad" vs "so bad it's good"), and it doesn't have weird tangents like Nightmare on Elm St 2 or Halloween 3 or Friday the 13th 5.

// Spiral was better than it had any right to be - even if the twist/reveal is a little predictable, Chris Rock absolutely nailed "crime procedural set in the Saw universe"
// also liked Jigsaw (again, even if the connection to the rest of the story is a bit contrived)
// basically: don't go looking for quality cinema and you won't be disappointed when you don't find it in a tortureporn flick

I might have to go back and check them out then. I never got into the "reality" type Paranormal ones, so Saw would help fill in gaps I have in my library to run all of Oct.
