I liked Coke Lime.

Ortbitz....I made like $15 at a mall once taking a survey about balls in drinks.

I'm pretty sure I tried none of those. Guess I wasn't the target audience or something.

New Coke was supposed to fail. Coca-Cola wanted to shift from real sugar to HFCS for cost savings but didn't want the backlash from real fans, so when New Coke failed they made Coke "Classic" (original recipe but with HFCS) and called it a day.

If you have to market something using "Less toxic" and "Tastes less like shiat" you should just give up.

common sense is an oxymoron: Coca-Cola Blake?

It's Bloke.

First introduced in 2006, Coca-Cola BlāK was a coffee-flavored soft drink. Pause for reaction.

Here's my reaction: Manhattan Special will continue to kick your ass. Best soda is espresso soda.

I'll have to try that with my sodastream. I tried chicken broth to make chicken soda, but it didn't work.

out of that list, i'm most dissapointed about coke with lime.

specifically, diet coke with lime.  And diet vanilla coke.

A 12 pack of each was always part of my grocery list, because they were both amazing.   Don't tell me theres not room for a few 12 packs of each on the shelf when there is like 100 12 packs of diet coke on the shelf every freaking day.

It's better to just get some at Whole Foods if they still carry it. Or, any good deli in the NYC tri-state area.

This is most likely true. Their marketing department is run by a hive-mind conglomerate that goes by the acronym SATAN.

Oddly "Coca Cola original" is sold in Canada made with real sugar. But Coca Cola is HFCS

Did you know Jolt made root beer? It was called Pirate's Keg.

I contacted Jolt to see where it was available near me (Dallas) and they sent me a couple of bottles. This was, I think, 1997 maybe?

There's a QuickChek near me, if you go to buy a fountain soda they have this fancy machine. Via touch screen, you select the drink you want(Coke, 7Up, etc), and then it gives you an option to add a secondary flavor (vanilla, lemon, etc). So I'm a bit confused how I'll never see lime coke again when there's a store about a mile from my house that has it.

Yeah, and last year, Coke released another soda with coffee. Maybe there's a big difference, but I wouldn't know. I bet it doesn't last another year.

I liked their lime one, and didn't care for the vanilla flavor that was out at the same time.

Pepsi blue, crystal pepsi, new coke, and ecto cooler have all had nostalgia based re-releases within recent years.

I did not know that. If you're ever out in Las Vegas, go to Ellis Island casino. They brew their own root beer, and it's quite good.

Ah, the "Coke Freestyle" machine. I have a love-hate relationship with those things. I love the selection. I hate that people in front of me often can't make a selection and dwell in front of the thing too long depriving me of my drink. I want my damn soda.

I really don't like regular Pepsi, but if I am drinking diet cola, I prefer Diet pepsi. But on think I really like about Pepsi in recent years is how they roll out new flavors during the summer, some of which are remarkably good. This years Mango Pepsi is pretty tasty. Knowing my luck, it will be discontinued shortly.

As far as discontinued beverages I wish would come back, my top two are Tropical Nestea, in the bottle. It came out after Snapple started making a big splash in the market. It was tasty.
Speaking of Snapple, they are my number two on the "Geez, bring them back" whine. specifically, a category - Snapple Soda. The french Vanilla cream was one of the best I have ever had. Not too heavy, it was refreshing. They had a few other flavors that were great like Cherry Lime Rickey. Their only drawback (and this is coming from the store owner side of the equation) is the bottles were notoriously thin. You send one down too fast on the inclined shelving rails, and :crack...gurglegurgle:
Snapple also had a great juice line. All this disappeared when they were bought by various large beverage companies. so sad.

Ha my dad was part of the company that helped the Orbitz marketing research. He forever had a bottle of it on a shelf right next to several other failures when he branched out into his own market research company.

Is that what it's called, or just a nickname for it? The one near me is bright red and has a Coke logo, but it also has Pepsi products. They are nifty damn things, though it amuses me that if you select something like 7Up you can add lemon flavoring to it.

Never had to wait in line to use it, but that may be because I seem to be out of synch with the time of "normal" society.

Naaaa. I love it. It's worth the wait.

1. Coke zero with 20% orange, and some diet cream soda.
2. Spite zero with 20% grape and some diet mellow yellow.
3. Coke zero with half caffeine free sugar free Coke and a splash of diet Coke.
4. Sprite zero 33% percent  punch zero power Aid.
5. Sprite zero and suger free ginger ale.
