RIP

Coach Carril and the Princeton Tigers are amongst the many reasons why the NCAA Tournament is one of the must-see events of the sports calendar year. They may not win it all, but they gave hope to St. Peter's, UMBC, FGCU and countless others to give it their best shot.

The blue bloods may still win it all, but we'll always remember the Cinderellas forever. RIP Coach.

Ivy League?

Chances of "rape" are strong. I'd keep him on a watch-list...

I think Pete's heaven would be walking back into the Civic Center to match up with Thompson one more time.

I think Thompson's hell would be the same thing.

RIP Coach, thanks for scaring the hell out of that traitor in his old town.

True. But Princeton-Georgetown made the tournament what it is today.

Plus it was the first time a 16-seed put a true scare in a 1-seed. I think Princeton was up 8-10 points at the half and the ESPN talking heads were absolutely stunned at that turn of events... when Dick Vitale is speechless, you know it's incredible.

Before a game, my high school coach mocked our opponent for trying to run the Princeton offense.  He then wrote "TMWB" on the board and said something to the effect of the reason we would beat this team is because they have TMWB (too many white boys, he was white so it's okay I guess).

Anyway, that team beat us by 22 and I got run into so many screens I felt like I had whiplash the next day.  I admired Carril ever since.
