OMG. Alert the media!

Oh I guess someone did.

Couples eat dinner together.  Film at 11.

Well, on the bright side it means that nobody else will be subjected to either of them

2022-08-15 7:17:02 AM
My only opinion on them is that I don't want to hear about them.

2022-08-15 7:22:46 AM
So the career hit was bad enough they're now leaking their dinner plans to the paparazzi in hopes it's enough of a news item to help?

The only reason I might side with the Smiths here is that others in Hollywood have done far, far worse things and escaped significant consequences.  I'd rather those others get their overdue consequences, though.

The lesson for Smith here is this:  Don't attack a peer, at a major community function, on camera, and witnessed by outsiders.  He simultaneously horrified, offended, and embarrassed pretty much everyone who has a say in whether he works or not.

It's pretty funny that he did that whole tough guy act towards Rock as a way to show he was in control and the fallout has proven him anything but.

A fascinating thing about that slap is that it can be used to explain all manner of things one doesn't like.

People "in control" don't assault people. And on live TV.

Yes?

What problem could you have with wanting to see people who have done horrible things receive justice?  Or with the idea that justice should involve precedent and be applied equally to all?

I don't think their careers were exactly on fire anyway. He wasn't in the last Men in Black or the last Independence Day and I'm not sure that was by choice.

/MiB, was set in Europe so he might not have been in it anyway
//but his ID4 character was unceremoniously killed off screen

We had a stadiums worth of actors, and they all acted like Smith was the conquering hero instead of horrified that the mean old comedian hot smacked around for poking fun at millionaires.

Ffs, you are actors. Act appalled. Don't defend Smith. The week's worth of backpedalling just shows how many yesmen and yeswomen exist in your sphere.

Got bigger shiat about which to worry than whether yet another modern-day Abu Hasan can once again show his face in the marketplace.

/ "Mother, when was I born?"
// "Oh, that's easy, my dear," the mother laughed, "you were born in the year that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars!"
/// And with these words, hope died in Will's heart forever. He fled the land and was never seen again.
//// If only.

I get that he overreacted and that nobody should do shiat like that in polite society, but at the same time, I'm really not sure what I'd do if someone started making my relative's disability the butt of a joke in front of me.

Your brother/dad/cousin would be perfect to play a balding Winston Churchill in a King's Speach 2.

I await you for fisticuffs on the morrow.

Funny you mention joke, because it all was done to socially engineer society to no longer tolerate jokes

Or, and this is far more likely, an insecure hothead slapped a mouthy asshole for talking shiat.

But if you must include the Illuminati...

The guys worried about being 'cucked' usually would be far, far better off trying some introspection and self-improvement so they might have a woman to cuck them in the first place.
