(Insider)   The Basketball Hall of Fame is so easy to get into that these seven guys have a viable shot at getting into Springfield   (insider.com) divider line

I mean, Howard had a better peak (and more longevity) and Blake Griffin has better per game stats than a guy who recently went in.

I don't like Howard at all (I've sports-hated him since his Orlando days), but of course he's a Hall of Famer.

Dwight Howard will get in on the first ballot, as he should.

Dwight Howard is a clear Hall of Fame player. Any argument against his enshrinement is unserious.

6 of those guys you can make a case for or against.

Dwight Howard should and will get in.

Hey, has anybody pointed out that Dwight Howard should get in?

Outside of Horford you could make a case for just about any of them. And since it isn't the NBA HoF Horford's two college titles put him in pretty good company there.

Rajon vs gary payton stats.
Its subjective but that dude in that era was great. Not a stat compilation but worth a look comparatively.

In order imo:
Howard
Rajon
Iggy
Griffin
Aldridge
Derozan
Horford

But all are going I think one way or another.
Warriors fan, would've loved a Horford or derozan off the bench in those finals v dinosaurs.

And warriors since don "I love weed" Nelson ran run tmc.
Thought that triumvirate in the early 90s had it, but diff game then lol.
Mitch, timmy (I forgave for homophobic bullshiat, UTEP education), and chris mullin.

Would've been splash before the bros imo.
But suffered a lot of disappointment rooting for this team, so suck it. Last decade was rad...

Super Chronic: Hey, has anybody pointed out that Dwight Howard should get in?

Nah, don't think so. You should definitely suggest that he should get in.

Thought this list was crazy then remembered that I barely watched basketball for a long time prior to 2019. These guys did more than i thought, but don't really strike me as HoF material, DH aside.

I checked in to comment and realized the same thing. I checked out of the NBA before any of these dudes graduated from HS. Carry on young folk. I'm off to find an ice floe and maybe a polar bear.

I think LeBron should be considered when he's eligible.

I could never support his induction so long as Luol Deng is on the outside looking in.

While this doesn't make the case for Iguodala to be in the HoF, it is a neat stat fact:

Through 15 seasons, he's amassed 13,456 points, 5,631 rebounds, 4,821 assists, 1,663 steals and 552 blocks.  Seven other players can lay claim to those five-category totals in their careers: Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, Scottie Pippen and Clyde Drexler.,

No Mario Chalmers?

The HOF is a joke anyway.  Let all these guys in.  When Draymond nutpunch Green is considered a lock, it's clearly clownshoes.

Perhaps they will retire his #6 from the entire league.

The Basketball Hall of Fame is a bit more of a Hall of the Very Good.  And the Very Good doesn't necessarily have to be sustained over a long period.

Never really thought much about it, but here's some stuff:
There are 213 players in the HoF.
Every retired (regular season) MVP winner is in the HoF - there are 26 of them.
Every member of the Dream Team except Laettner is in the HoF individually, and the team is in as a team.

There are some who were not that big in the NBA:
Vlade Divac - an 1x NBA  All-Star is in, though he did a lot internationally
Drazen Petrovic - not an all star in the NBA though he died in his prime. Also was massive in Europe.

/and back to work

Looking at just retired players, the list is pretty long:

Dirk Nowitzki is in.   Pau Gasol, Dwayne Wade, Chauncey Billups, Horace Grant will make it eventually.  Shawn Marion and Vince Carter, maybe Tony Carter.   Problem is there are active players who will go in as soon as eligible.
