Yeah, as soon as Trump heard he was being raided, he hit the toilet.

A putrid smell in NJ?

I grew up there, so I'm baffled how they could even tell. NJ smells like robot farts.

It's nice that they have these trucks that go around and let other parts of the state experience the pleasantries of Newark.

Exit 13 on the Turnpike is where the smell starts going northbound.

Anyone remember the news story 10-15 years ago about the undercover cop who asked a prostitute to go with him to Jersey and was going to pay her to take a dump on his chest?

She declined, saying "I don't want to go to Jersey."

Passed through a few weeks ado and it is much worse than the usual jersey stink.  Everyone thought it was me and rolled down the windows then it got much worse.

/I like to fart in confined spaces
// ok I'm just always farting

Holy crap!  I actually know what that stuff is!  Zinc alkyldithiophosphate (ZDP) is an anti-erosion additive that's added to shock strut fluid.  Those are the shocks that go on the big jets that take a serious pulse of UMMPH! every time the plane hits the runway.  That added energy into the fluid can cause it to get acidic and start eroding the shock cylinder, so ZDP gets added to send that chemical reaction the other way.  I imagine Lubrizol gets used in other things too but since I'm a retired Boeing lab rat that worked in fluids and lubes that's the only use I know of.  And yes it stinks.

My first thought when I saw the headline was Secaucus. I once went to a nightclub there and the air outside was so rank, they lit incense all over the rooftop deck. I put a stick in my empty beer bottle and carried it around with me.

A lot of that got cleaned up thanks to stricter environmental regulations on oil refineries such as the Exxon refinery at Linden, and due to the closure of the Fresh Kills landfill on Staten Island (which was briefly reopened to process the debris and remains from 9/11).  A lot of the stank you smelled on the NJ Turnpike came from Fresh Kills.

It's got that Old Man Trump smell now. But then, New York and the industrial alley in NJ always smelled like Trump.

Congratulations, Subby. You worked the Trump joke I was thinking about into the headline without any effort by me. If more witers wrote what I intended, I would be a great economy for me. I am not so vain to accuse writers of stealing my ideas:  they just do the hard part.
