I read the book. It sucked but I can see where it would be cinematic.

You know, it isn't anything great, but I actually like that movie. Probably watch it at least once year when fall starts to roll in.

So if I have this right; this movie is Raven's Hollow which has the description "West Point cadet Edgar Allan Poe and four other cadets on a training exercise in upstate New York are drawn by a gruesome discovery into a forgotten community" but there's also another movie coming out called "The Pale Blue Eye" with the description "Follows a veteran detective who investigates the murders, helped by a detail-oriented young cadet who will later become a world famous author, Edgar Allan Poe."

I think I'm more excited for the 'Fall of the House of Usher' series this fall. Although how they intend to pad it out more than Corman's Poe movies will be interesting.

Poe wasn't British. Does this count as cultural appropriation?

It's done by the same guy who made Midnight Mass, which was awesome, but he also did The Haunting of Hill House, which had almost nothing to do with the original story. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

As long as he doesn't get any designs on 'Masque of the Red Death'. Corman's version really works pretty well.
