Was the objective analysis the amount of money the city's tourism board was willing to pay to get on the list?

While I think their governance is absolute clownshoes, San Francisco belongs on any list like this, especially one that includes Chicago.  It's geographically stunning.   I get that maybe its buildings don't satisfy the algorithm in the article, but that's just a sign your algorithm is wrong.

I was wondering to myself if I'd been to two or three of the cities on the list. Turns out I've been to twenty of them. This is not a great list.

In a movie you tell it's Chicago if you see the Willis tower or the John Hancock building, while the only way you tell San Francisco apart from any other city is just the Golden Gate Bridge.

No it's not - if there's steep hills & trolley cars it's probably S.F.
Also the architecture of the buildings on the hills.

TransAmerica building is a pretty dead giveaway, too

Is it just how the list loaded for me, or is anybody else only seeing 23 entries on this top-25 list?
