People think everything Alex Jones says is legit.  This really should be that surprising to anyone.

If you were relying on Coinbase spamming your e-mail every time your crypto of choice went up or down 5% on any given day, it was already too late to take action.

The principal and Mrs. Krabappel were in the closet making blockchain, and I saw one of the blockchains and the blockchain looked at me.

Relying on the criminal organization that  is scamming you to keep you informed seems a bit foolish to me, but scammers and fools does describe the entirely of the WEB 3.0 population.

Some people are so desperate to get rich quick that they will easily fall for the latest scam/pyramid scheme.

Same as it ever was. I'm fairly sure ancient Babylon had scam artists running schemes to make money off this new coinage thing.

Stupid people probably thought it was legitimate. There a a handful of them who post on Fark as well. It is amusing to watch them try and justify their stupidity and greed.

All these problems could have been avoided by using a hardware wallet.  Not your wallet, not your coins.  It's pretty simple.

You want to change the economy somewhat yet you participate in the economy.  Curious.

I am very intelligent.

Hey, lets invest in a 'currency' that's completely unregulated and can't be controlled by governments! Someone help me because the crypto company I dealt with is doing some really shady shiat!

The great thing about crypto is that it's outside the established rules and regulations which only serve to take away peoples' freedoms and limit opportunities. Our government should honor this and announce that it will undertake no actions in the cryptosphere. I am sure that it is only the residual effects of hidebound traditional thinking that causes any questionable actions. Once freed of the chains of government, everything will be aboveboard and honorable.

If you invested in 2017 you're at least somewhat ahead, if not very much so (depending on when in 2017). Probably way ahead even if you DCA'd through the bubbles.

Farkers are right about crypto but we need to stop focusing on the price, since cryptobros can still point out the overall meteoric value growth even as of today. Focus on the utter lack of use cases. Ask a cryptobro to name the "Google of crypto" or "Amazon of crypto" now that we're 10+ years in, and you'll get some laughable answers.

A lot of actors employed by CAA got in on NFTs.  Jimmy Fallon, Gwenyth Paltrow, and so on.  CAA invested in OpenSea and then needed celebrities to pump it.

Many of these celebrities have no idea how investing or money even work.  They've all had good income since they were in their early 20s.  Maybe it took Matt Damon until he was 27 to get truly rich with Good Will Hunting, but he was already acting in real films since 1988.

The point is, none of these people knew exactly what they were shilling.  Their agent told them "do this and I'll give you a fat check this is totally legit" and they said OK and shilled and cashed the check.  Snoop Dogg doesn't give a shiat about the blockchain.

It further legitimizes it.

You look like you have bags under your eyes. I have this great cream from Rodan and Fields, and if that doesn't work I've got others from Amway or Mary Kay.
