Does it cost extra for the burger with camel toe?

I was put onto Brahmin hump a while ago.  Spice rub and 8 hours slow cook.   Delicious, but you need to be OK with a bit of tube.

I missed my chance at having a real camel burger when I was in Morocco.   I didn't see it on the menu, but I would have tried it.

I had some in China.  Somewhat cartilaginous crunch with a slight flavor of dog.

I'm afraid I'm a no. I wouldn't eat a horse or a donkey, and I'd put camels right up there with them.
But then, there are fewer animals I'm willing to eat each year as I get older and as we learn more about the animals. I don't eat bacon anymore, and pretty soon I probably won't eat cow burgers.
I am not the life of the party I guess.

Oh hell yea, I'd try that.

No, but you have to bring it home and introduce it to your family.

Humpday? I don't think I'm quite familiar with that phrase.

I'm not too keen on eating an animal that could possibly one day save my life. Cows are dumb beasts. Pigs are smart and I've met a few I've liked, but I'm kind of in a blood feud with them as a species. A camel could be my savior in a desert.

There was a food truck at the PNE (like a State Fair) a few years ago with various exotic meat sliders. They claimed that one of them was camel. It wasn't great but it was better than the crocodile.

Humpday is never quite as fun as it sounds...

I've never had cooked camel, but I've had it raw and I did not like it. If I could get meat from a young animal and have it cooked medium toward medium rare I'd try it one more time.

If a camel ever got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you care about.

CSB: I ate crocodile spring rolls and a camel pie in Bojangles bar, Alice Springs, Australia, on new year's eve about 20 years ago. The food was amazing.

We were temporarily stuck in the Alice after our L300 broke its gearbox near Uluru, aka the arse end of nowhere.

And unlike the crocodile, they didn't make it snappy?

/Most exotic protein I've ever had was a shark steak.

Wasn't that the plot of Priscilla Queen of the desert?

I had it in sliders in London, along with zebra and kangaroo.  It's a bit gamey and dry. Nothing to write home about.

Great with coffee and sugar. One lump or two?

Dromedaries that you ride or use to carry things are famously ill-tempered.  No idea what a Bactrian camel would be like in terms of personality, though the ones I've seen in zoos appeared pretty chill.  Then again, they got fed regular nutritious food and they didn't have to do anything.  Basically, I'd try a camel burger, but I wouldn't expect a whole lot since they're more of a work animal than a food animal.

I've had camel. It's pretty lean for something that big. In a burger, you'd expect it to be somewhere between beef and pork, but it's closer to rabbit, but without that sour taste you get in rabbit sometimes. It's pretty good. Most meat is pretty good if you like meat and you cook it carefully and you go into eating it with an open mind.

Remember that Letterman episode when he was interviewing a lady "the Johnny Carson of China" (some years back ...) ?

The lady was rather self-important and priggish, when they were discussing exotic food, she leaned over to Letterman and asked he had ever had "the hump of a camel".  Letterman adjusted his tie (ala Rodney Dangerfield) and replied, "Well, when I was younger, I was pertty good."
