If you go on a Disney or Universal vacation and are not constantly fending off an ongoing state of food-bloat, you're doing something wrong.  There's usually something for everyone, no matter how picky, within arm's reach.

There used to be a lot of 'food hacks' for Disney like ordering a double meat burger (12.95) at TomorrowLand and order a extra bun (or BYOB) and load up on the condiments at the 'burger bar' to split it into two burgers and maybe even get enough lettuce for a side salad.
But you can also bring your own food into Disney and there's a publix deli right outside the gate, so you can get a fried chicken and sides and have a picnic.
Or do like these people did and have Thanksgiving dinner at the tables by the train station on mainstreet.

Our neighbors went to Disney World with their kids and got the food plan. This was pre-pandemic. They are not fat, but they aren't thin either. They were talking about how it was near impossible, even with character dinners, to eat that much food. They ended up converting a lot to snacks and bringing home a carry-on suitcase full of candy to give away.

Crazy.

This is an ad.

It's not even a good ad. It's a "Here's how to save a little money when you GO TO DISNEY WORLD!" article. It's as riveting as the article she wrote, entitled "Why Would Anyone Pay $5,000 for a Star Wars Cocktail?", a month ago for Disney.

I got one of those giant turkey legs at a 3 day jam band festival. It was awful. I went around offering random people a bite of it (got many takers), used it as a prop to accentuate my violent hand movements, knock on port a potty doors, and eventually tossed it into the crowd when they started playing 'meat'. I sure as fark didn't eat the damn thing.

Just take your kids on vacation to Bass Pro Shop like a normal American.

I've never been to Disney but my wife has when she was younger.  We've all (wife and son) been to Universal - we went for my son's 8th birthday to do the Harry Potter thing which included breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron and (the next day) Lunch at the Three Broomsticks.  We had dinner at that Chocolate Factory place in Citywalk and were never hungry for three days after that  *Every* place over there loads you up on portions.  We had to strategically skip meals or eat very light after the second day because we spent the second evening walking around Citywalk at 8pm not hungry for anything.

they took bites before, or after said port-a-let knocking?

Loosely translated: "Please come and eat at Disney World. Seriously."

One of my former cooks is actually down there now, as a baker, and she's having a heckuva time. Then again, she LOVES Disney World. Working for the House of Mouse is like a dream come true for her.

That's like, the entire article (I know, I know, who reads the articles...), to get groceries delivered instead of buying food in the park.

Honestly it would be easier too, and save time, aside from the cost. Do one or two special meals in the park (like a character breakfast), where you're paying for an experience not just food. That's what the kids might remember, not the overpriced cheeseburger that you spent 20 minutes in line for.

Hey! I resemble that remark!

Apparently, I was getting a little fussy whilst the family was preparing Thanksgiving dinner. So to quiet me down, they gave me a turkey leg. So, naturally, this picture had to be taken. Looks like it was from November of 1964, so I was a little over a year old.
